Cats 4 Life gets recruitable catgirls off the market (same as buying Hands for Gals Are Superior) as well as a unique craft based on xcomfiles' Kitsune. There's also access to the Golden Pistol and the other nekomimi golden weapons. One of the big bottlenecks for Cat Path is that both the unique craft and unique weapon consume Neko Nuclear Batterys which are quite expensive. Catgirls are pretty decent as rare recruits and have a good niche as auxiliaries (and cute mascots) but they struggle as mainline troops due to their low health and low armor. They've got all the speed and killy-ness of a melee gal but all the fragility of a peasant. If you haven't done Peasant Revolution yet, I would recommend doing so. It's especially flavorful if you start in Red Revolution (Venezuela) for the extra revolutionary recruits from that country's starting event.

If you're interested in Cats 4 Life, check out the Everyday Is Caturday thread; Yugian is doing a let's play with this gimmick.
Thanks!

I saw the Caturday thread, yes. I think i'll do Peadant, i did it before (not to the end ofc, year or two) and i like the theme very much. And i actually used kind of houserules  to only recruit lokknars and peasants from the market (intrtedting unlimited hiring is gone now), so i dont actually want to have recruitable Cats, though i'd like to have more of them than Synths/Gnomes. Damsels-scale, probably.

I wondet if there are any events, especially special Cat recruits there, though. Maybe i'll check their ctaft and exchange it for Harvester (though Harvester is soo powerful and generally nice)

Sorry for double post, but this is completely different topic:

I had an idea of mission kind of slave pen. You would use pickaxe or something to make a hole in the ground without ramps, and then throw bodies of the unconscious there.

1) I think they could not get out, so they would not have to be guarded.

2) Even more importantly, if the pit was only one tile, would the unconscious even get up after first one? What happens in such case?

If they don't, it could be even used to capture large number of, say, spiders (for poison etc), or werewolves, etc.

3) Maybe i am evil, but just imagined largeish pit filled woth awake captives, cheering gals on the embankment, and then one of them throws a firebomb in...

Hi everyone. Please answer the question. Is it normal that test flight technology has become repetitive? Sorry for my bad english.

Yes, though it's mainly for a bit of score and various 'pedia articles. I'm not sure it gates anything useful

Ok, I'd like to ask two question that I couldn't find a good answer to:

1. Is there anything you can do with JIM (other then paying him to fuck off)?

2. Is it necessary to put a spa next to the red mage's tower for the story line to continue?

1. I don't think so.
2. You just need to have it in the same base, does not need to actually touch.

Ok, I have some more questions:

1. Do Star God Coordinators show up in anything smaller then a Silver Tower too? Because I have shot down every other type of ship and never seen one (admittingly, the same goes for Provosts...)

2. Regarding my previous post, how long to I have to keep the luxury spa there for the Red Mage quests? I had to replace my body farm to make room and would like to get rid of it as soon as I can.

1. As far as I know, no, only Silver Towers. I took down lots of cruisers, where commanders usually spawns, but no success. There are rumors, that on cargo ship mission sometimes equally valuable Star God can be found.
2. Not 100% sure, but it looks like you need spa only for "The Spa Plot" research.

It's been a while since I looked into this, but from what I recall and some searching now, I think I've got all (or at least most of) the places that Coordinators can show up:
Peacekeeping mission, Battleship at the end;
Sway Local Govt mission, Cruiser at the end and in the alien base that will be established if the mission completes;
Supervision mission variant, Silver Towers (only ship);
Supervision mission, Cruiser at the end (NOTE: there are two races called The Star Gods, both can run this mission but only one has Coordinators).

Alternatively, there is a rare Smuggling mission that has a different type of Smuggler Ship with a special Star God rebel on board who can give you the Cydonia codes. The ship you're looking for has a max speed of 5500, while the regular one has a max speed of 5200. It also has a shield and a weapon range of 50 compared to the normal one's 35 range and no shield.

Oh, and very last question, i was wondering, how would you translate Commander? Przywodca, Dowódca, Komandor or Komodor? :D ;)

Not sure about Dioxine, but I would go with "Komendant". :)

I believe, if another unit wakes up on a tile that's occupied, the game mechanics will force the spawn of the former unconscious unit on the next available tile. Like when you wake up a soldier using some stims. What I don't know if the game will attempt the spawn on the same map level or will try on different levels.

In any case the mission may end up in havoc if these awaken units cannot surrender and spawn all over the place.

I recall, when I go in with the mission of capturing enemies, I collect the "bodies" into a single area, and put a one or two rookies into whip guard duty. I give them leather whips, and later neural whips. Alternatively, other daze ranged weapons also can be used.

I'd imagine that the game doesn't check other levels - I used to keep tough rare enemies that would be dangerous when conscious by picking them up and flying up 1 tile. They would wake up when they have a tile to stand on (trees, roofs, mountains... mistakes were made), but they didn't drop out to the level below.

It only checks the 8 adjacent horizontal tiles.

I want to say the game is great. Designer is brilliant.

But I feel like there is no point in shotgun scutter shots. Even with above 100% hit chance, more then half of pallets missing the target. (Which defeats the purpose of a shotgun - do tons of damage to an unarmored target.) So I end up always loading AP rounds even against an unarmored enemy. What about you guys? Do shotguns work for you?

You just have to get the feel of spread right. The percentage to hit you see is for the first pellet. With every another pellet chance to hit goes a bit down. What you want is about 150% chance to hit on target. Also depends on how good the "choke" is on a shotgun. I generally use long range shotguns. Things like a coach gun, heavy shotgun and police shotgun. I never have problems eliminating high health targets like zombies in 2 hits. Just do not use them like you would any other gun, where you can get away with lower hit chance. On shotguns you need that 150% hit chance.

Thanks for the information. I'll give it a spin. I guess the same behavior applies to UAC Rifle, Niner's epulse ammo?
