Seems like something tries to rewrite all “http:” links to “https:”
including ones, which leads to sites which isn’t using HTTPS
(browser displays an error message when trying to visit such sites).
And, by some reason, “http:” prefixes is removed from forum posts.

Users, don’t forget to change your “forum” and “bug tracker” passwords to more reliable ones.
Cookies are not secured, and maybe in future consider fixing server headers (look at Mozilla Observatory / SecurityHeaders.io)

Downloads fails
I don’t know if this is related, but all attempts to download Open Xcom with the option to fix bugs in vanilla selected causes the download to abort, as it doesn’t seem to reach whatever it’s trying to reach. The rest of the download moves smoothly.
Dito. The installer gives a time-out when trying to download universal-patch.zip
Note: the “nightlies” version does work propery. It’s the milestone edition that is giving problems.
