I think I should make a Who is Who? article for the newbies.
Warboy - our Dark Lord, may he code forever.
SupSuper - Dark Lord's chief advisor and personal therapist.
Volutar - The reclusive artificer with no patience for idiots.

And so on. :)

'Ello, I'm Brenda. Best summed up as a 24-year-old mute with heterochromia.

I first played UFO when I was 13, after a complicated sequence of investigation that started with a TFTD demo on a shareware disk, then I found OpenXcom around when it got to 0.9. Now I play it on my tablet mainly, so I may be a little behind on the Latest & Greatest(tm) at times  :P
Nuthin' more to say, I'm a boring person  :)

Hey, name's Paul.  Been lurking for a bit, finally decided to register for the forum.  Been playing X-Com since it came out when I was 13ish, my first 3 video games where X-Com, Mastrer of Orion and Ringworld.  Was a sci-fi nut even back then!  Anyhoo, OpenXcom is a dream come true for me, got me to waste some money on the new X-com even though when I play it it just makes me want to play this!

Hello from France, my name's Guillaume. I was playing X Com 2012 when I ran into the Piratez mod and now I am addicted once again on the classic xcom.

My early adventures with XCom was when I was 12 or so, my men died horribly to chrysalids on a demo disk. It was only years later that I was able to save Earth, even if it was only on easy (savegame bug anyone?).

Now I am doing a LP with the Bay 12 community. It should be a surprise to no one that Dwarf Fortress fans also love xcom, both games are full of FUN after all. I made a succubus mod for DF and I am the modding capabilities of OXC are quite exciting.

A Piratez version of XCom 2012 would be interesting :)

Welcome :)

Hi guys 'n girls,
my name is Christoph, I'm 33 years old with a strong passion for old and strange movies, video games and music (and a little less strong passion for sports and drawing).
Like a lot of others here I must have been around 12-13 years old when I first played X-Com. I also was a huge fan of the X-Files and UFO-related media in general, so when I first saw X-Com it hit a spot.
X-Com is also one of the reasons I still love pixelish graphics, they just leave so much room for imagination.
This place, the developers, the community, the attitude .. it's just great :-) I really enjoy it.

So have a good time everyone, see you around!

Welcome to OpenXcom velox100. Enjoy the massive amount of Mods, opportunities and the occasional badwordings, if Warboy breaks our savegames once again ;>
