Yeah, I suppose ghosts shouldn't be stun immune (ironic, I know). I'll change this.

The problem goes deeper than just ghosts. Pretty much every large unit that isn't either a Reaper or a Bullfrog has this. I'm not even sure why a bio-engineered war creature like a Reaper is susceptible, while a big golden retriever or overgrown hedgehog isn't? Especially now that a supernatural entity actually is vulnerable.


Perhaps change the Hadriex gun itself, unless it's supposed to have this weakness?



Edit: Worse, there are other strange interactions, like bonking one of said hedgehogs or retrievers on the head with a big club not doing anything to stun them.

What club? Pretty sure 2x2 units have pain immunity by default, so they all need that set to off, or every weapon with stun damage needs "ignore stun immunity" on, or a variation of it.

I tested with a sledgehammer. Weapons that do 'stun' damage bypass this immunity, as do a lot of others that are manually set to ignore it (various electric stunners, for example).

Yes I know, I need to check if anything's still missing. It only rarely becomes apparent to the player.

Better to fix the units.

I did just that, hopefully all is OK now.

I mean, it's a matter of tradeoffs. In the OG, this immunity made it so that big units shrugged off the stun effects of small-arms fire, while in XCF there are so many new interactions it's kinda hard to retain everything while changing everything at the same time.



Anyway, so being pain immune is supposed to protect you from the hallucinations from the Hadriex Gun? Like being an Ooze, Calcinite, Waspite, Thing?

These green railings on the top level of the cyberweb power plant appear to turn into ladders when shot.  The only look like ladders, you can't climb them lol

Researching a Chaser medic gave me floater autopsy as a get one free research, but I didn't get a popup for the research, and can't view it in the ufopedia.  I can see the combat analysis and turn the corpses into grav modules, but can't read the actual autopsy topic.

I can also still research floater corpses, which I assume will give me the actual autopsy report? 

I'm not blocked from any research or anything, but it's weird I now will need to research a floater corpse just to get the flavor text.

Regarding the medic and autopsies issue, the lookup is there, the problem lies in that the medic interrogation gives the autopsy research topic not the corpse topic (the latter having the lookup to the autopsy). The ufopedia articles that show the different combat analyses depend on the corresponding armors which in turn depend on autopsy topics, so they get revealed, but the autopsy articles depend on the corpse topics and thus they don't until they get done. This also explains manufacturing behaviour as it depends on the autopsy topic, not the corpse topic. The only solution I can see right now would be to update these 'one free' topics so that they give the corpse topics, not the autopsy topics. However, there's a bunch of other topics that depend on the autopsies directly and making this change will very likely result in bugs or broken research and or manufacturing somewhere else without carefully revising dependencies, as well as potential issues with ongoing campaings even if you do. Perhaps, for now, mark it as a known issue with medic interrogations.

On a side note, I did come accross these possible issues in part of the tech tree:
- All non-floater alien medics: Missing STR_FLOATER
- Chaser medic missing: STR_BETARIAN and STR_BETARIAN_AUTOPSY
- Gazer medic missing: STR_BETARIAN, STR_BETARIAN_AUTOPSY, STR_CHASER and STR_CHASER_AUTOPSY

Perhaps intentionally excluded, but mentioning them just in case.

What I saw is that every other autopsy has a lookup for their corpse, for example, ethereal autopsy gives a lookup for ethereal corpse.  But the floater autopsy doesn't, maybe because there are 2 floater corpses in the tech tree?

I have the wrecked alien drone/drone examination researched, and the alien drone combat analysis is purple in the tech tree, but I can't view the combat analysis in the ufopedia/middle clicking alien drone mid mission doesn't pull it up.
