So this might sound like an ignorant question, but does this newest update need some save shenanigans to apply to an existing run? Because every time I see "tech tree adjustments" I worry a bit, but that might be because I'm used to Dioxine and Piratez.

Not really. Usually the practical impact is a few new research topics that show up, but you rarely need to edit saves.

Are agent careers like a special commendation they start with?

Looks like it. Unfortunately your starting "original members" seem to still have no past. Shame. I was really hoping for a cool start with a bunch of colourful misfits as my starting squad.

I know it might sound strange but does career system of agents work for others ? As I've just started new campaign, recruited new agents, but they have no career present in their commendations. And shouldnt starting agents have career as well ?

Do you have the latest OXCE?
So far I have only played around with the new version to check up the new stuff without starting a proper campaing, but when I ran 3.7 on an older OXCE there were no careers given to any agent at all. After installing OXCE 8.1 careers started showing in the commendations list of new recruits, but agents from the starting squad still only got the "original member" and nothing else. (yes, I started a new game)

Yeah, I´ve just uninstalled old version of OXCE and installed the newest version (I´m talking about OXCE for android). I´ll try reinstalling again and see if it works.

Incase you're wondering why career commendations aren't showing up, it's because they're not applied as commendations.
They're instead applied as a transformation bonuses, which you can see by clicking the plus button on your agents' screens.

I notice the basic X-Com HQ now provides the ability to do bio lab-dependent research (e.g. zombies) instead of requiring the bio lab as before. Is this a 3.7 change? It's not in the changelog as far as I can tell.

I get that there’s a lot of bullets in the can, but it’s kinda crazy that a single Minigun HWP AA ammo costs 2/3s as much as the whole tank.

Thankfully abductor spam will be paying the AA cost

Bugfix update 3.7.1 has been released.

- Replaced more placeholder music.
- Updated the X-Com Personnel article.
- Updated the submod for Cyrillic names to match the latest OXCE.
- Clergy outfit is no longer freely available for use.
- Minor fixes.

Oooh, new update!  Pity the nun patrol got patched out, but I supose a government agency must have some sort of dress code.
On a different note, I'm not seeing the background careers for newly hired agents.  I hired a single and a batch of ten, and non of them had anything.  I did see the note from ThatThomasGuy, but none of them have that little plus side that my original six does, nor are there any notes in the save file.  Do I need to advance the plot a bit before seeing them, or did something go wrong?

We could have a submod for the extra outfits. :) I don't think it would be OP or anything.

Are you sure your OXCE is up to date?

*checks OXCE* Not even close, I think I was on 7.1, so I had some catching up to do.  Pity it hates some of the submods, but such is the life of a moder.  Anyway, made a new game, slapped out some agents, and it works fine!  Cannot wait to play another game, thanks for the new update and the good advice!
