Subject: Zombie Corpse Research Report

As we had expected, the zombie appears to have been human at one point before being infected with the same parasite we encountered when we captured our third farmer. It would appear that this parasitic organism is likely the source behind the zombie outbreaks and as such, should be studied further. It also seems to make the host difficult to kill, by some mechanism of overriding its basic metabolism, though the decaying effects on the infected host are somewhat notable as well.

As for the nature of the parasite's origin, we may have to conduct further study into that, but for now, we can clearly say that the parasite's origin is not known to be of any Earth organism and is likely extraterrestrial in origin.

Megascorpion encountered by X-COM agents in Afghanistan today, while help from local Taliban forces may have been minimal, as the sole creature was located and killed by said agents in the field. Very little of note to report.

Subject: Red Dawn Bioenhancement Report

As of this time, it would appear that the Red Dawn Bioenhancement program seems to be applicable to all Red Dawn members, and one thing that our Chief Medical Officer has noted is the use of retroviral agents that are somehow capable of modifying a person's metabolism to create artificial proteins which not only promote muscle growth, but also changes muscle tissue to increase the efficiency of their members in the field.

This is extremely troubling and we fear that this is a confirmation of the alien origin of many technologies that both Red Dawn and EXALT seem to have derived so far from the aliens. We should begin to look into this as soon as possible.

Subject: Cult Outpost Assault 001 After Action Report

In a what was a reportedly fierce engagement, X-COM forces were able to locate and eliminate a compound of the Church of Dagon in the Libyan-Tunisian border, and so far, we have captured a high-ranking Dagonist and several well-equipped Dagonist renegades, which we believe to be their main form of security in the compound. However, Agents Hashemi, Mwatha and Mbanefo were injured in the clearing operation and as such, they should be returning to service on varying schedules, depending on the severity of their injuries. As for the captured suspects should interrogate these individuals when possible, and in addition, gain some insights into other Dagonist outposts across the globe, as well as their operations.

Libyan Army Raids Mysterious Compound

Libyan state media has just recently announced that a compound found to be harbouring an illegal cult was raided by Libyan Army troops earlier today after the residents of said compound had attempted to resist capture by the detachment sent to the compound. In the ensuing firefight, state media reports that only two soldiers were injured and that the residents of the compound had been killed in the ensuing firefight. Leader Gaddafi could not be reached for comment on the issue, but has announced that he will address the nation by next week.

In a report coming from the Nigerian coastline, we were able to locate and eliminate a group of giant spiders that X-COM agents had been told about by local villagers who survived an attack on where their village used to be. After a pitched fight, X-COM agents were able to both eliminate the giant spiders and capture a live specimen for study. However, it should be noted that our agents nearly ran out of ammunition during the fight and as such, we may need to order additional packages of ammunition for them. As for the spiders, I recommend beginning R&D on them when we are ready.

Another outpost assault had been initiated by our forces, this time just outside of Xi'an, in which Black Lotus forces were engaged and decisively defeated, although Agent Janik and Agent Agbaria were injured in the engagement, with Agent Janik having lost a significant amount of blood and being put under emergency medical attention once back in X-COM HQ. At this time, we have managed to capture a seemingly high-ranking Black Lotus member, and we will begin interrogation of him when ready.

Illegal Compound Raided by People's Armed Police

PAP (People's Armed Police) officials have just announced that a compound in Shaanxi Province belonging to an illegal organisation known as the "Black Lotus" has been raided earlier today, with only two officers injured in the operation. All suspects were apprehended and arrested for further questioning and interrogation for the purposes of state security and to help learn more about the terrorist group's whereabouts. Claims by insane individuals of unknown gunmen have been dismissed as falsehoods by officials involved in the raid, though foreign media has begun to (falsely) speculate that this could be related to the raid in Libya six days ago.

As per my Chief Medical Officer's recommendations, we have begun researching into possible means of better healing our wounded agents, and these trauma packs have been tested as one viable option for future treatment of X-COM agents in the field. As a result, we will begin to request that individual Council member-states can manufacture these, due to X-COM's limited resources in regards to local manufacturing. We will requisition these trauma packs as needed.

Re: Request for Blueprints for Suitable Intelligence Facility

Commander Volikov,

Your request for the Council to provide your organisation with the blueprints to construct a suitable intelligence-gathering facility has been granted, though some Council member-states have insisted on aiding in X-COM operations to hunt down the cultists you have identified so far. As a result, I already contacted Mikho and asked him to help keep the interference of each member-state to only when necessary.

Hopefully, this will aid your endeavours.

Sincerely,
Frank Kirby

X-COM forces originally sent to capture a suspect in Sri Lanka were forced to be diverted to help Lublin police aid with Operation: Klendathu, named after the Arachnid homeworld depicted in Robert A. Heinlein's Starship Troopers. The agents had reportedly aided the police in locating and eliminating giant beetles that were in the area, and as such, we have been able to successfully clear the infestation. However, this particular case, due to the involvement of local authorities, it could attract media attention, so we should be careful as to what the local authorities will tell the reporters.

Lublin Police Dismiss Reports of "Giant Beetles" in city outskirts

Reports of "giant beetles" having been cleared earlier today by Lublin police have been dismissed as"dubious at best", according to an anonymous local officer, and he has insisted that the investigation into supposed "monster activity" was "inconclusive so far" in the city and its surrounding area, despite reports of missing individuals and claimed monster sightings from around the world. With the ever-growing reports, and a growing belief that the raids in China and Libya were conducted by what conspiracy theorists claim to be a sort of secretive organisation of unknown purpose and origin, though these claims have been dismissed by government officials.

Once again, nothing of use to be obtained from the low-ranking supporters, and the Chief Accountant has already filed a complaint about the price tag of flashlights. That should be a relatively minor concern, though, as for the moment, very little of note is to be gained from this interrogation.

Subject: Zombie Live Specimen Study Report

As described on the autopsy report, these zombies were once human beings, albeit with short lifespans due to increased metabolism. However, it would appear that the parasite has consumed most of the subject's brain and has even completely removed the host's cognitive abilities. They also seem to have poor motor skills and stimuli reaction, and unless handed an object, the zombies will never use them. It's probably for the best that these creatures are kept in cages rather than prison cells like the cultists, and not just to prevent infection, but keep it from escaping.

Subject: Chupacabra Autopsy Report

The Chupacabras are clearly of alien origin, as it possesses many features unknown on Earth. It has an invertebrate-like exoskeleton, but also seems to have cardiovascular and neural structures similar to Earth mammals. They have very simple eyes, but their morphology and chemistry suggest that this creature serves as a fast-moving predator in whatever native ecosystem it evolved in. The sharp claws and whip-like tail do not help disprove this assumption and in fact, its external shell makes it difficult to easily incapacitate, as it can resist physical attacks from our agents.
