X-COM agents recently managed to respond to a case of large ape-like creatures in Peru, who had reportedly butchered some hikers in the area. Even though it could be said that these creatures were eliminated, they required a significant amount of ammunition just to kill one of them. It could be said that their size alone would make it difficult to kill them with conventional weapons, though the X-COM: GIB would recommend beginning an autopsy of these creatures immediately.

Re: Kevlar Vest Acquisition Request - X-COM: GIB

Commander Volikov,

We have formally received your request to upgrade your organisation's protective gear to something more appropriate, and in light of your reports, the Council has granted you the authorisation to use Kevlar Vests for your use. We expect you to continue performing as best as possible, given the recent chain of events that have happened over the past month.

The Council hopes that you are met with...continued success.

Sincerely,
Frank Kirby

Another suspect was apprehended by X-COM agents, who was wearing a mask similar to the suspect apprehended in Salvador, which based on our current findings, all suspects captured so far may be part of entirely different, yet also related organisations in some form or the other. We have yet to confirm this, but we can say with confidence that these organisations may be related in some way to the Black Lotus organisation we learned about last month.

Subject: Brainwashed Farmer Interrogation Report

Although we have been able to be aware of alien abduction reports due to Basil's interrogation from last month, we have been unable to identify this individual's name, likely on account of being implanted with information of some sort, written in a language we have no understanding of. Based on our findings, we believe that the information contained in the subject's brain is a catalogue of Earth features such as flora, fauna, geology, energy balance, etc. We have no idea as to the exact purpose of why the aliens would use implant these into human brains, but we do suspect that once located, they could be used by the aliens to understand more about our planet.

If this is the case, X-COM: GIB suspects the recent events around the world to be a prelude for something far, far worse, likely an extraterrestrial invasion and conquest of Earth. If this is true, then we are likely in a race against time to prepare for war.

As of the time of this writing, I could never believe it myself, but...it appears that our agents have managed to locate and kill ten creatures that have appear to match the description of what some in the Americas would call a "Chupacabra", or if the reader would prefer "Goat sucker", which is what the name would translate to. While reports of these creatures have been heard of before and dismissed as urban legends, today, it can be clearly seen that these creatures are not only real, but can also be killed. We will conduct an autopsy of these creatures when possible, though it would be advised that X-COM's facilities should be expanded in the future, as to aid in further development of our research and to have bases from which agents from across the world can respond to cases of monsters, deal with cultists and overall, fight the alien threat when the time comes.

In what was a very brutal slaughter of any and all witnesses in the area by a strange creature, despite X-COM agents' best efforts, an unidentified four-legged creature was killed by X-COM agents after a very brutal slaughter of the civilians in the area. It was a very difficult creature to kill, with Agent Lecleqrc having to complain about expending so many clips just to kill one creature when he returned to X-COM HQ. Agent Bilenga had observed similar complaints after he reported that his shotgun had only "given that thing a scratch" during the engagement. Considering this thing is still alive, we will begin study of the lifeform that our agents have very appropriately nicknamed the "Reaper" for the purposes of R&D.

Three people found butchered in Idaho

After a phone call was reported to local authorities by a concerned family who has chosen to remain anonymous, police have managed to locate what appear to be three dead bodies, who appear to have been butchered. The exact nature of whatever caused their deaths remains unknown, though investigators suspect it was some kind of wild animal. With reports of strange creatures, UFO sightings and disappearing individuals, some are starting to believe that "Bigfoot" had butchered these individuals, though local authorities have dismissed those claims.

Re: Request for Additional Vehicles

Commander,

The Council has decided to accept your request for additional vehicles to be ordered when needed. Due to the secretive nature of your organisation, the only available option at the moment is the use of a van, which can carry up to four X-COM agents. Although slower, it can be able to do whatever you require of us. If you need any additional vehicles for your future operations, you will be provided as such at the discretion of the Council.

Sincerely,
Frank Kirby

X-COM Agents had reportedly encountered what Agent Leclerqc described as "megascorpions" on account of their larger size compared to nromal scorpions. However, despite having successfully eliminated all the megascorpions, the local civilians were also reportedly murdered, though considering that the incident occurred in the Egyptian-Israeli border, we have reason to believe the major media outlets will not even bother reporting the incident this time. As of this report being written, the recommendation has been given to begin an autopsy on these megascorpions. Perhaps their biology could serve some use to our medical researchers around the world.

A recent sighting of another ape-like creature, which we will call the "Mongorn" for our purposes was reported in the Northern Provinces in Canada, which our agents had responded to. The creature was quickly located and eliminated, while its remains were given to our salvage teams for the purposes of independent research and development. On that note, we also had a report of strange creatures further north which we are currently sending a team to investigate. It is likely to be a creature of similar nature, but for now, that remains to be seen.

As predicted, Mongrons had been noticed by the locals, though as of this time, X-COM agents have managed to locate and eliminate them. It was a field test for some of our new recruits, whom we currently have managed to ensure their status as proper agents. As of the time of this report, this should be considered as somewhat of an extension to our previous case.

While conducting research into ways to better treat our soldiers, Chief Medical Officer Gudrun von Diose has recommended that the X-COM: GIB begin work on contacting several notable individuals and pharmaceutical companies with access to experimental stem cell treatments, and she claims to have some of said contacts. At this moment, we are gathering a list, which will be available to you as soon as it is ready. In addition, the Chief Medical Officer has also recommended that we begin research on other, unconventional medical technologies for the purposes of better healing our wounded agents.

At the time of this report, we can safely say that we have managed to accomplish two things:

1. We managed to capture our usual farmer, likely brainwashed.
2. X-COM has managed to secure a live zombie specimen for study.

In regards to the live zombie specimen, we should begin the already recommended autopsy as soon as possible and study of the live zombie specimen in a suitable location to keep it from escaping. However, it should also be noted that further research into this live specimen should provide further insights into the nature of the alien threat as a whole.

Another suspect belonging to a cultist group was arrested in Athens by X-COM agents earlier today with relative ease, although it should be noted that Agent Hashemi was injured again, and will be in the hospital for at least a week before he can recover and return to combat duty. However, it should be noted that with multiple other suspects, we should begin interrogating him and his friends as soon as possible.

Cultists were reportedly operating somewhere in Crete, and as of the time of this report, our agents just managed to apprehend one of the suspects of a possible cult. Once again, I would recommend we interrogate him and the other captured cultists to learn more about the nature of the alien threat and its potential to aid in these cultist actions across the world.

A cultist suspect was just recently apprehended in Nigeria by X-COM agents, as per the usual batch of arrests of cultists. Very little of note to report besides what has already been previously mentioned.
