Subject: Alien Fuel Trace Research Report

X-COM scientists have managed to determine that the fuel traces we've recovered in every operation revolving around those crop circle reports and cattle mutilation events are, indeed of extraterrestrial origin and could be traces of the alien's fuel source, as per the title of this report. However, we have not been able to fully understand the nature of this alien fuel, so we will need to find a means to study the aliens in further detail.

Subject: Giant Spider Autopsy

We were able to determine from the autopsy of the dead remains of the giant spiders that this is not technically a spider other than appearance. It appears to have been genetically engineered, given the modified organs to account for size, and although its venom sacs are NOT poisonous, contrary to initial misconceptions by our agents in the field with our first encounter, the fangs may cause deep wounds. It also has a rather thin shell that is somehow capable of sustaining explosives.

I have begun to notice a pattern with the autopsied creatures so far; that whatever we encountered in Budapest four months ago could possibly be genetically engineering these creatures and introducing previously unknown creatures into our planet's biosphere. We should investigate the nature of these creatures' origins as soon as possible.

Subject: Case 027 After Action Report

This was a rather interesting case for X-COM: GIB to report. The overall situation was that we had encountered at least 20 Mongorns, which were ferociously attacking our agents in the field. However, it should be noted that as the engagement progressed, X-COM agents had expended all of their Glock 18 ammunition and were nearing the point that they would also expend their shotgun ammunition. As a result, I am going to make a request for additional supplies of ammunition as soon as possible.

In a related note, the Mongrons were not completely killed; X-COM had managed to capture a live specimen for future study. We should begin as soon as possible.

Subject: Case 028 After Action Report

X-COM agents have been able to respond to a case of previously unidentified lifeforms, who appear to engage at long range when compared to other creatures we have encountered in the past. These things were easily eliminated, although by then, a dog and its two owners were killed by the creatures by the time we defeated them. We should begin studying this creature as soon as possible.

Irish Authorities Find Dead Couple's Remains

Irish authorities just discovered the dead corpses of young adults, likely a couple, whose names have yet to be disclosed at this time. Police officials have dismissed reports of unknown creatures roaming around Western Ireland as "wild conspiracy mumbo-jumbo", though this has yet to dissuade fears that unidentified creatures of unknown origin may have killed them. We will update you live as this story unfolds.

What we have interrogated is not exactly a high-ranking officer, but just a slightly higher-ranking EXALT goon. These goons are likely highly trained, and determined in both physical and mental ability. Unfortunately, we could not obtain anything useful other than that, due to the uncooperative nature of the suspect. We will see if his friend can be more cooperative.

Subject: Zombie Outbreak 002

As of the time of this report, we had received word of another zombie outbreak from the Russian military after a patrol went missing in Siberia. We had begun to investigate the area when X-COM forces had engaged the zombies, and then we had encountered some kind of exploding zombie. However, once it had exploded, we were unable to recover what remained of it, and shortly after clearing a batch of zombies that survived the ensuing explosion, Agent Obacom Kabala was butchered alive by a charging zombie, who was subsequently killed by Agent Lyudmilov, who is currently injured for at least a month due to a friendly fire incident. Thankfully, the zombie infestation was cleared and X-COM has been able to recover a live fat zombie specimen for study.

However, I should be noted that the loss of Agent Kabala has prompted me to recruit a replacement to deal with any subsequent operations.

Friendly fire incident occurs during military exercise

A friendly fire incident was reported by the Russian military earlier today as the military exercises that began four months ago, and are still ongoing at this time. None of the soldiers in the incident were killed, but there two soldiers in critical condition who are currently under intensive medical care. With the reports of "zombies" still ongoing since January, officials have, again dismissed the reports.

Subject: Priest of Dagon Interrogation Report

One of the robed men we encountered during the anti-Dagonist raid in Libya was interrogated by the interrogation team and it is clear that these men are the leaders of the Church of Dagon; priests if you will call them. On the outside, they seem to be less affected by Dagon Syndrome, which makes them the sole means of communication between the Church and the outside world. However, it would appear that they are still exceptionally tough for human beings and their minds seem to work on a far different level from our own, likely due to either alien indoctrination or perhaps a variation of Dagon Syndrome. Either way, these men should be apprehended without delay. We also managed to gain something useful out of man, which we will cover in a separate report.

Subject: Dossier: Thomas Erikson Report

As of this report, we have managed to gain the insights into a man by the name of Thomas Erickson from the Priest. He is the captain of the fishing boat Reef Ranger, though in recent years, he has become infatuated with the Church of Dagon. They say that his crewmen are either pressured to join the faith or meet one of many horrible deaths, either being thrown overboard, being crushed by falling debris or falling into running equipment. He tends to attribute these to the "wrath of Dagon" and seemingly any survivors of his crew become members of the Church.

We need to be able to locate the whereabouts of the Reef Ranger, and fast, although the Captain is already under surveillance by X-COM: GIB. Hopefully, we will be able to keep an eye on him long enough to launch an operation to apprehend him.

Subject: Black Lotus Witch Interrogation Report

The Black Lotus female we had captured in the raid in China, now identified as a "witch"  has been noted to be the local commanders and the group's representatives in high society. They also possess unique mental abilities that allow them to use special devices that are built according to plans received by their "goddess", as well as the ability to project a telekinetic shield to protect them from small arms fire. They are well informed about the group's actions, and responsible for many of its crimes and activities. This means that, much like the Priests are a high-priority target to apprehend, the Witches are the same thing for Black Lotus.

In fact, her information can allow us to gain some insights into the Black Lotus group's operations, which we should dig into as soon as possible.

UN Designates Black Lotus as a terrorist group

UN Secretary General Koffi Annan has announced that Black Lotus, as of this time has been designated as a terrorist organisation by the UN, claiming that this organisation is "an extremely dangerous group whose very existence threatens the stability of the international order". With the UN having designated Black Lotus as a terrorist organisation, it is likely that other nations from around the world will begin the development of a cohesive anti-terrorist plan to deal with Black Lotus and end their terrorist actions, and already an emergency session of the United Nations is scheduled for early July.

After a period of searching the Internet for various suspected high-ranking Black Lotus members' accounts, we have managed to infiltrate the organisation and obtain some insights into their operations. Commander,

We have acknowledged that your organisation was able to locate the various online accounts of suspected Black Lotus terrorists, and as a result, the Council would like to notify you that your organisation will no longer be tasked with clearing out Black Lotus safehouses; you will be asked to deal with more important missions regarding the fight against Black Lotus, effectively leaving safehouse raids to local authorities effective immediately.

Good luck, Commander. The Council is counting on you.

Sincerely,
Frank Kirby

In what was a very long engagement between X-COM agents and EXALT, we were able to apprehend another EXALT Infiltrator and EXALT Goon, whom we hope will provide X-COM with some useful information. However, it should be noted that Agent Leclercq had sustained minor injuries and should be back in action within two weeks. We also need to consider that we have already found a package's worth of Psiclone, which EXALT has reportedly begun distributing in Colombia and according to recent news media reports, they have also been spotted elsewhere in the Americas, which includes México, the US and Canada, the last of which was where the raid occurred.

We should begin digging into studying Psiclone and its effects immediately.

Canadian Border Services Agency Announces Raid on EXALT Safehouse near the US border

Earlier today, a safehouse belonging to the criminal organisation known as EXALT was raided by Border Services Officers after being tipped off about a package of Psiclone being delivered to the safehouse by an anonymous source within the organisation. Although officers refuse to comment on the informant's actions for security reasons, the raid was said to be successful, according to a CBSA spokesperson. The firefight only resulted on one injured officer and the apprehension of all suspects in the safehouse.

With EXALT having been reported in Canada, local authorities and other law enforcement agencies across the Americas have begun to report that the extent of EXALT's operations could range all across both North and South America, which could also explain the ever-worsening psiclone epidemic in the Americas. With lawmakers in Ottawa already advocating to formalise the ban on Psiclone, it is likely that the rest of the Americas would follow suit in such a ban.

Subject: Dossier: Shane Barton

After a period of interrogation with the second EXALT goon from our first anti-EXALT raid in Colombia, we were able to gain some valuable information as to the insights of a man who has been identified as Shane Barton. He is known for capturing, farming and mutilating some of the mutated wildlife in the Miskatonic Valley, in the US state of Massachussets, and using said mutated wildlife's remains for new "exotic" meats made for his food company. Health problems were reported after consumption. Preliminary lab tests indicated the presence of some unearthly components, which means that this farmer had managed to come into contact with the alien ecosystem and somehow casually adapt to it. How it was possible that these people managed to consume his products is a mystery, though the good news is, he is under FDA audit at this time.

Hopefully, that will prevent a local health crisis.

X-COM agents managed to engage Dagonist renegades in a farm somewhere in Crimea, during which our forces had killed all suspects in the area. Ukrainian Police Raid Unknown Safehouse in Crimea; Raid Results in Bloodbath

Following a fierce engagement today between unknown suspects and local police in Crimea, the authorities have reported that the attempted raid has resulted in one dead officer and the deaths of all suspects in the area. However, the authorities suspect that they could be the same illegal cult that the Libyan military had attempted to raid two months earlier, whom had identified themselves as the Church of Dagon, according to one officer who was involved in the raid. The Ukrainain government has begun to designate the Church of Dagon as a terrorist group following the incident. Experts predict that this could result in a "Black Lotus Effect" similar to the one experienced in East Asia, though that remains to be seen.

Re: Request for Blueprints for a Suitable Biolab

Commander,

Your request to the Council to be provided with the blueprints for a suitable biology lab has been accepted, and as such, you will be authorised to conduct research and development on any aliens or monsters that your organisation may encounter. However, there are certain Council members who have recommended the support of several biotechnology companies and national research teams to aid in your efforts.

Good luck, Commander. We hope that your efforts are met with...continued success.

Sincerely,
Frank Kirby
