In order to avoid international diplomatic incidents, we've decided to extend our covers for X-COM operations in more sensitive, covert missions. However, the problem is, limited weapons access to maintain the cover of X-COM agents. Hopefully, this should be sufficient for some very sensitive covert operations for our agents to be in, as previously mentioned.

X-COM agents were deployed into the Tanzanian interior to deal with reports of giant frogs roaming around the area the agents were deployed to. During the engagement, most of our agents managed to sustain minor injuries, but were knocked unconscious by what Agent Mwatha calls "Bullfrogs", due to their difficulty to penetrate with conventional weapons. This being our first encounter with these creatures, X-COM scientists should begin studying the remains of these Bullfrogs as soon as possible.

Re: Dog Acquisition Request - X-COM: GIB

Commander,

After a period of consideration, the Council has accepted your request for the use of trained dogs in future X-COM operations across the world. We hope that you are met with further success across the board. In the meantime, good luck, Commander.

Sincerely,

X-COM agents managed to raid a Church of Dagon compound in Mali, and the Dagonists attempted to put up fierce resistance against our agents. During the fight, Agent Bilenga was injured trying to subdue a Priest, and once the priest was subdued, the remaining Dagonists simply surrendered. Other than this, there is very little of note in this operation.

Dagonist Compound Raided by Mali National Guard Forces

Local authorities in Mali had reportedly announced via state media that a Dagonist compound was raided by elements of the Mali National Guard, with only one guardsman sustaining minor injuries, and a total of eight suspects being apprehended for questioning by the government, with nine others being killed in a brief firefight. With the designation of the Church of Dagon as a terrorist group Ukraine, it is expected that Mali and Libya would follow suit quickly after today's raid.

Black Lotus safehouse was raided in Hoshu, Japan earlier as X-COM agents were deployed to deal with the matter, on account of a failed Council salvage team attempt to clear it out. However, while the operation was successful, Agent Yonas was killed due to sustaining significant injuries all over his body. A replacement will be found for Agent Yonas, and as usual, we will order any replacement equipment as needed.

Special Assault Teams Raid Another Black Lotus Safehouse

Japanese officials have announced that they have recently raided a Black Lotus safehouse earlier today, with only one officer reportedly killed in the raid and another suspect still being injured. The Japanese government has already demonstrated this as the first of many more crackdowns on the Black Lotus terrorist group. With the UN emergency session fast-approaching, the international community is holding their breath as to their response to the threat that both Black Lotus and now the Church of Dagon pose to international stability.

Our investigation into anomalous reports around the world has allowed us to confirm that these incidents are indeed caused by factors which cannot be explained using conventional scientific knowledge. The most striking examples include biological organisms (see attachment no.2), but we believe that the greatest concern to the UN is the emergence of clandestine terrorist organisations that seem to be somehow connected to this paranormal activity. We strongly urge the United Nations Committee takes additional steps regarding more intelligence regarding these groups.

As noted by my Intelligence Officer, the information uploaded into the abducted or brainwashed farmers' brains does, indeed appear to be a language of extraterrestrial origin. However, it is my recommendation that we look deeper into the language as our investigations and operations continue, starting with basic grammar structure, as we have no single expert on Earth who could even attempt to decipher it at this time.

Re: Crowbar Acquisition Request

Commander,

Although our staff is confused as to the nature of why you would request the acquisition of crowbars, we have already begun granting you the authorisation to acquire said tools.

Good luck, Commander. We hope that you are met with further success.

Sincerely,
Frank Kirby

A zombie outbreak was wiped out by X-COM agents in Saudi Arabia, with great success. However, three civilians and Agent Nkitabugi were killed in the operation, and as such, we will have to begin searching for a new replacement for him. Otherwise, very little of note has occurred during this operation.

It can be safely said that although this operation was a success, X-COM has lost Agent Awani, who will be replaced as soon as possible. The outbreak will likely concern the Canadian authorities, who already have to worry about EXALT and the spread of Psiclone across the Americas.

Reports of Destroyed Towns in Northern Territories Cause Fear

Destroyed towns are reportedly being mentioned by civilian bypassers earlier today, as fears mount over what is believed by some to be a case of "monsters" and other alien creatures being reported as attacking small towns across the world, most notably reports of so-called "zombies" earlier today in the Northern Territories have caused other small towns in the Northern Territories to become more and more distrustful of outsiders. The government of Canada has decided to begin an investigation into the reports to see if these reports are accurate.
