After I ordered our intelligence officer to investigate the Red Dawn organisation's whereabouts and network, it appears that a surprising number of military and business contacts, both big and small businesses appear to be affiliated in some form to Red Dawn's activities, with anything from combat training, to R&D, to military briefings and operations, this terrorist group has likely infiltrated a significant portion of Eastern Europe's military and financial circles, and it is recommended that they be placed under surveillance, unless their intelligence agencies also happen to have been compromised. If that proves to be the case, then it is recommended by the Council that immediate and drastic measures must be taken to stop Red Dawn from becoming a problem, without exception.

Subject: League Apprehension 001 After Action Report

As of today, it would appear that X-COM is likely at risk of being exposed, as two individuals were found to have likely learned about the existence of the organisation and were planning to go public with their discovery on Russian state media. Thankfully for our agents, the two individuals were subdued and the secret of X-COM's existence has been preserved, for now. However, I fear similar leaks could be possible in the very near future as the X-COM: GIB continues to expand. As a result, I have decided to release them back into the wider world, under the condition that should they attempt any future efforts at leaking out our existence, they will be terminated.

I just hope that my decision was not unfounded.

Giant beetles were reportedly seen by local Arab villagers whose village was wiped out. While X-COM was able to clear out the infestation, the survivors from the village were killed in the process, although it should be noted that we managed to capture a live giant beetle for study. Other than perhaps its size, we found very little difference between megascorpions and regular scorpions, except for its somewhat bizarre chemistry, which seems to have been made to compensate for its simple respiratory system. There is very little of this creature to note, considering that everything about the megascorptions, other than size and body chemistry is akin to normal scorpions.

Subject: Abducted Farmer Interrogation Report - Alien Harvest

After a bit of interrogation, our farmer able to cooperate with the interrogators, though he refused to be named in this document and for our purposes, we will simply name him "F". F appeared to be initially hostile, as with our other interrogated farmers, but he seems to have given us some rather...grim descriptions of what had happened with his cattle after the crop circles were reported. It would appear that the aliens are somehow harvesting those cattle for their organs, as well as other lifeforms on this planet, which likely explains the purpose of the mutilated cattle. At this point, it has become increasingly clear that the aliens' harvesting of these animals seem to imply that at some point in the past, they seeded Earth with life and now...well, we fear they are returning to reap the harvest they have sown.

As of this point, we should make stopping the alien menace our top priority.

Subject: Cult Outpost Assault 003 After Action Report

The operation to clear out a cultist outpost has seen...mixed results. While the outpost was able to be cleared of Black Lotus terrorists and we even captured what we believe to be a high-ranking officer, Agents Bale Hashemi and Jan Vermeulen were killed during the operation, while Agent Mbanefo had sustained significant injuries. However, this means that the significant number of injuries he sustained will put him out of action for the next two months. In the meantime, he will have to be temporarily replaced, alongside Agents Hashemi and Vermeulen, the remains of both agents are to be cremated for proper burial. However, Agent Ruiz has been able to ensure the capture of a high-ranking Black Lotus asset, and as such, in addition to the two followers, she is currently under X-COM custody.

South Korean raid on compound ends in bloodbath

South Korean authorities have reportedly raided an unknown compound south of Seoul, likely related to the terrorist group known as Black Lotus. The terrorists had been eliminated while two officers were killed in the ensuing fight. One officer is reportedly in critical condition, and is expected to be given high-priority emergency medical treatment. The terrorists were also killed by the force raiding the compound, which has been criticised by members of the South Korean National Assembly as "a disgrace on the record of our nation's law enforcement agencies", as all the suspects that were apprehended had taken severe injuries and could not be treated medically on time. This comes in following the initial raids on two separate compounds in Libya and China, which could likely be related to similar terrorist organisations. Local police officials refused to comment on the other two raids.

We managed to respond to a zombie outbreak near the Mexican-American border and have cleared out the zombie infestation. One civilian was reportedly killed by the zombies, though our agents had been low on ammunition across a majority of the mission. I am currently making orders to have X-COM restock on ammunition.

Subject: Disciple of Dagon Interrogation Report

This is an interesting case, to say the very least. The interrogation went as well as planned, and it seems that we managed to gain more insights into the Church of Dagon. They claim to be in the service of a supernatural entity by the namesake of the Church, which appears to be associated with some kind of underwater deity. They appear to be affected by what we will call "Dagon Syndrome", which makes their skin seem grayish and wet, which also causes some developmental abnormalities. It should also be noted that the Disciples can also be resistant to shock and pain, in addition to being able to see better in low-light conditions, but at the expense of their intellectual capacity.

We should look further into this "Dagon" deity they are referring to, if and when possible.

We should begin to autopsy these creatures as soon as possible.

A special assault team in Kyushu, Japan had just announced that it had raided a Black Lotus safehouse earlier today, while sustaining no losses in contrast to two apprehended suspects and other personnel at the compound killed in the ensuing firefight. As similar raids continue around the world, the Japanese government has decided to officially designate the Black Lotus organisation as a terrorist group, the first nation to do so. Experts are saying that this could be setting a precedent for other nations to follow suit, in light of an increasing number of monster and alien-related reports, which conspiracy theorists claim the Black Lotus organisation may be related to.

Local officers were quoted as having taken "minimal losses" compared to the deaths of most of the compound's personnel. With this, it is suspected that this may be related to the raid by Japanese Special Assault Teams yesterday in Japan.

After Chinese state media and the Ministry of State Security have proclaimed that the Black Lotus organisation has been designated as a terrorist group, South Korea has joined in the fight against Black Lotus, which has up to this point, only been designated by Japan as a terrorist group. Protesters across East Asia have already begun to demand more and more action from their governments to combat this terrorist group and provide increased security measures to stop the threat of Black Lotus.

Our interrogation team has successfully managed to interrogate a Black Lotus Footman we had captured back in our first attack against the group in China, and it seems that they these footmen happen to go through rigorous military training and are adequately equipped for combat. On that note, it should be noted that their greatest advantage is in camouflage and stealth, meaning that we should be careful about telling the difference between regular villagers in Asia and Black Lotus footmen, as well as being especially careful in night time missions like the raid in South Korea. We learned a hard lesson in that raid and we should keep it in mind for future operations against Black Lotus.

Vietnam and Laos Call for "immediate international action" Against Black Lotus

The governments of Vietnam and Laos have begun to make calls for "immediate international action", according to state-run media, and this just came in mere hours after North Korean officials joined China, Japan and its southern neighbour in designating Black Lotus as a terrorist group. UN Secretary General Koffi Annan has been asked by reporters on the issue, and at this time, has yet to comment on the matter. However, experts believe that some sort of regional alliance could be established to jointly cooperate in destroying Black Lotus, should the UN fail to act. With ever-growing skepticism towards government officials in light of an increase in sightings of supposed monsters and alien organisms, the UN Secretary General is scheduled to make an announcement by the end of the month.

Where do I start? Well, the Disciple could not provide anything useful to us, and to make matters worse, I had discovered that the Chief Intelligence Officer had been having an affair with von Diese, both of whom have been allowed to continue the relationship in private. I had to warn the two that if this interfered in their professional work again, that there will be serious consequences.

On that note, the previous interrogation meant the Chief Accountant had to once again file a complaint, which this could easily explain. We have to maintain discipline in this organisation and if it breaks down, I will be forced to take drastic measures.

With the raid on the safehouse two days ago, the Colombian authorities in Bogotá have announced that law enforcement agencies will priorities enforcing local drug laws, especially with the reports of a previously unknown drug known to its users as "Psiclone" being spread around the city. After some thorough investigation, it is believed that EXALT holds a vast monopoly on Psiclone and has connections to various government officials in both North and South America. In fact, I suspect that even the political elites in the US could be involved, with members of both the Democratic and Republican Parties having connections to EXALT. This is an extremely dangerous organisation and if the political elites all over the continent have any connection to EXALT, then even with the news media having exposed some of their operations two days ago, they have no idea of the true extent of EXALT's influence and control...yet.
