Subject: Black Lotus Mandarin Interrogation Report

Black Lotus Mandarins are wealthy members of Asian business, criminal and political elites; one of which is in the second category with very close ties to Black Lotus. In exchange for their services, Black Lotus provides them with various services, including psionic training. They are also highly skilled in martial arts, and to make matters worse, this report comes in rather disturbingly after the revelations on the Nephilim yesterday. It would appear we may have found a descendant of one of the Nephilim. Speaking of revelations, there is something the suspect had told us, which we will cover in a separate report.

Subject: Dossier: Renielle Diolatta

The suspect mentioned the name of the dossier's subject matter during our interrogation as he was planned to meet in the place where he and the other Black Lotus members were meeting before we intervened. This is what we know about Cpl. Diolatta so far.

He was one of the top guns in the Philippine Armed Forces. One day, he found his family dead at their house and the only clue he found was an AFP cap. Out of anger, he then proceeded to single-handedly wipe out the installation he was stationed in and had been missing ever since for some time. As of now, we've learned that he has been working with Black Lotus as an enforcer and as such, Interpol has been notified of his activities. The Philippine authorities and others around the world will be looking for him now.

X-COM agents had responded to a call about some kind of "werewolf" in Siberia who had escaped the local authorities in a nearby town. X-COM agents were then able to locate and kill it. We should begin to autopsy the body immediately.

Subject: Alien Lifeforms Research Report

Based on my Chief Medical Officer's report, it is clear that these things are usually adapted to some form of low-oxygen, low-pressure environments. However, most of them would fare well on Earth without an EVA suit for at least some time. These organisms in most cases are altered via some form of surgery or genetic engineering, which points to these lifeforms having some kind of hive-like structure. In this model, the individual lifeforms each perform a specific function, all being sustained and care for by the whole society. If this is true...then we may be next to join said hive unless we prepare. We have at least 13 months left, and the aliens are only escalating the situation.

X-COM forces managed to raid an EXALT outpost in the US state of Montana and had been able to successfully apprehend another EXALT goon; the other occupants were killed in the fighting. However, it should be noted that Agents Savchuk and Mandukhai were both killed in the battle, and as such, we will begin looking for replacements as soon as possible.

EXALT Outpost Raided by Montana National Guard

Montana National Guard forces were able to raid an EXALT outpost earlier today, losing only two guardsmen in the process. Government officials also reported that a stash of Psiclone was reportedly found during the raid, and one suspect was apprehended. With the recent rise in Psiclone consumption during the Holiday Season, this raid comes at an opportune time, likely crippling part of an EXALT Psiclone distribution operation in the Great Plains and the Pacific Northwest. We will keep you updated as this story unfolds.

Subject: Black Lotus Assassin Interrogation Report

As we have likely learned from our suspect, Assassins are Black Lotus elites used for the most secret missions; more so than Black Lotus warriors. They reside in Black Lotus estates like the one we raided, training rigorously and participating in mystic rituals. They also possess a unique and mysterious ability to blend in with their surroundings completely, unless seen from up close, as we have witnessed in the field. They themselves cannot explain this other than as an ancient art that takes many years to master, but our tests indicate some kind of mental effect rather than true invisibility. Assassins tend to use silent weapons such as swords or thrown blades.

Subject: Golden Lady Origins Investigation Report

The "urn" used by the Avatar turned out to be some kind of psionic transmitter capable of manifesting the Lady's will on Earth, and use it to organise Black Lotus to help with the construction of a larger device. Good thing we managed to find the damn thing, just in case a backup plan is required. The object originates from deep space, likely from beyond the Solar System (though that should be obvious by now), and periodically emits some previously unknown particles that allow it to function. We should begin investigating the location of Black Lotus' HQ immediately.

Re: Request for Humvee Use - X-COM: PAU

Commander,

The Council has assessed your request and has authorised you to order Humvees for your use. We expect you to make good use of them, Commander. In fact, it would be wise if you had some kind of weapon attached for their use.

Good luck, Commander. We know you will not disappoint us.

Sincerely,
Frank Kirby

Re: BlackOps Industries Contract Offer

Commander,

I have noticed you are in need of some better weapons, and as a result, we've agreed to the terms of your contract. Though our weapons are not known to the general public, they should be quite useful in your endeavours, especially with their quality. Enjoy our products!

Sincerely,
Wilhelm Räder; CEO of BlackOps Industries

Subject: Operation: Jungle Assassin After Action Report

X-COM agents in EASTCOM had responded to an attempt by Black Lotus to restore control over the temple we had attacked last year and managed to kill most of the occupants and being able to capture at least several other suspects, including a second Avatar. At this point, we should interrogate all of them for the purposes of understanding more about the enemy. However, it should be noted that Agents Hyeon, Kasuku and Batsaikhan were all killed in the fight by the Avatar while attempting to eliminate it. We will find appropriate replacements once they return.
