Wanted to note that from tomorrow I'm on holiday for a week, so if you write me a PM and I don't answer within a week you don't have to panic ;-)

Daiky, what's next in your plans? After you did basic salvaging?

( I'm asking here, cause i think it's more proper thread for talking about battlescape development ;) )

I recently found a copy of the book "Art of Game design": https://artofgamedesign.com/
it's really a great book, so in my free time I'm going to read that.

And other than that I'll just play openxcom a bit and see what is missing and then implement that missing part. I'm going to check if personal armor works in battlescape, I think not. So that might be next.

As for missing parts, maybe it would be nice to have somewhere (on wiki?) described working / missing features?
For example items:
ItemBattlescapeResearchManufactureUfopaedia
Laser pistolYesYesYesYes
Personal armourYesNoNoNo

Battlescape features:
FeatureImplemented
ShootingYes
DyingYes
LiftsNo
Psi controlNo

Intersecption features:
FeatureImplemented
Shooting UFOYes
Shooting X-com interceptorNo

etc

Requires much work to describe everything. Also requires updating of such lists / tables. On the bright side everyone could know how far OpenXcom project is advanced.

Hmm, nice it is.

But, all the people in the entire openxcom development team already normally keep changelog.txt up to date. I think I forgot to do it the last time. Hope I don't get spanked by the project manager :p

But seriously, I thought that file was an list of what is in a current release, isn't creating another table of it not double work? Also, we don't know a detailed list of what is to-do.

changelog.txt is mostly useful for creating release notes for every new version. What i've suggested is mostly for showing actual implementation status, so it's some kind of mix of changelog.txt with roadmap from main site in more condensed form ;)

Anyway, it probably would be hard to maintain - like changelog.txt ;)

That's a project leader's job and I'm a programmer here :p
I'd love to do the project lead for some opensource project maybe in the future. Or a combination project lead/game designer.
