Next mission is the 3 Rookies and a Dog.

Chapter 15: The Long Silence when nothing happened.

Chapter 16: The Return of the Playthrough.

I basicaly had a large gap of about a year and a half here. I blame work and other games.

And just a few seconds later, we continue with the mission at hand.

Obviously, almost no time have passed since our brave rookies (and a dog) have come to deal with some strange animals in the previous post. Definitely not two year and a half, no pandemics nor wars have happened in the meantime. He he.

We are here to beat up civilians (Failed) and shoot at beetles (Will be failed soon).

What!?

Rookies who hit on the first shot? Who are you and where are my rookies?

Turn 1.

A beetle becomes a dog treat. We shoot and miss as usual. My Rookies have returned back to normal. Hooray!

Turn 2.

Some more misses and we got that little firestarter.

Turn 2
These civilians really want to die, but that fire beetle doesn't seem to deal that much damage even to unarmed people. It might be completely harmless.

I can't express how happy I am to see you back. I don't have the time and patience for watching LPs regularly, but I love written ones, and yours is such a treat.

I hope you're not playing on the 2020 version any more :P

Well, I have been beset by sickness, work and the worst of all ... other games.

Yes, I still play 1.7. I plan to update it when I am back to the Geoscope. As far as I have seen in the changelog there shouldn't be any big problem with the save. I may need to fix the save to add the new countries.

My main inspiration for this were the After Action Reports for WITP:AE. That game is very hard to stream anyway.

Turns 4 to 6.

We apply some shotgun and try to stun the other Fire Beetle and a girl.

Outcome.

No one was killed, except some civilians, but who saves these?

On the positive side, we did train reactions.

Next up, I must update OXCE and the mod to latest versions.

Mod updated to master yesterday so it is 2.7 now or thereabout.

Here is the current situation. Sadly, Gimp is making tricks for some reason, or it was the screenshots, and the colors are mildly fucked up.

I managed to update my save with the new countries and there are some new researches to do. Shotgun BullShit, for example, seems to be extremely important as this is my agent's favorite ammo. We must know what we are shooting! Is it a cake? A bird? Inquiring minds must know!

Sick bay just flipped from Good to Excelent, so I might relieve some scientists from there into other projects.

Other than that, I have changed my mind about the Dragonfly, meaning that We Must Dissent and research UAC corporation soon. Six agents is awfully inadequate.

Also, I will attach the current save as a back up and in case someone wants to fiddle with it.

OK, I figured out how to fix the colors in GIMP - change the color palette away from indexed. Image->Mode->RGB.

The month is going on and we are researching some minor stuff.

I just found out that the Cults will have crafts, so I need to get the Little Bird and air weapons fast.
