Hello working on the base today and have a question about the access lift. Is it operated like the picture below with a hydraulic ram, or is it like an elevator with cables?

I'd say your idea is better. And can be used for hangars too.

Thanks for the reply. The Skyranger is a VTOL capable  aircraft, but could not find any info on the Interceptors if they are capable of VTOL. May use a
lift for them, or maybe use Harrier jets.

Even if they're VTOL, taking off from a deep well that is the hangar entrance would be extremely dangerous. It's just not how you do these things.

Unless you're a true Spartan and think better Dead than not-Manly :)
Also please not use Harriers, you'd be hard-pressed to find a fighter jet which is more ill-suited for interceptions than subsonic Harrier :)

Thank you for the input. Which fighter jet do you think the Interceptor was modeled after, I think either the F-15 or Mig-29.

No need for pictures :) It looks, to me, like F-15/F-14 (closest to an actual interceptor NATO ever had since 1950s) cross-bred with Aurora (typical Aurora picture here):
