Installed UFO Redux and now have no music
« on: May 23, 2015, 07:35:41 pm »
So I installed Openxcom nightly on Windows 7 and then installed UFO Redux but when I ran the game again I had no music. Sound effects still work perfectly fine and disabling UFO Redux brought back music. I did some Googling but couldn't find any results. Any suggestions?

Which nightly are you using? Most likely it's a compatibility problem from you using a more recent nightly since Redux is currently optimized for Nighty openxcom_git_master_2015_05_07_1716.

Redux has its own thread for feedback and bugs here.

Just tried using that version of the nightly, but I still have no music. If I really have to play without music, I guess I will. Or I could try one of those sound mods and see if that makes a difference.

strange indeed. you're not using MP3 are you? there are some... issues with that format. we might have to ditch support for it as the problem is in SDL itself.
