It goes down due to Falko being inactive on the website. When he sees our messages he will refresh it for us.
yes it can happen that i miss the mail that warns me of the expire date (that mailaddress gets A LOT of spam)
if that happens i need a reminder :(
just send me a message in the forum and its more likely i see it.

Woah, that was quick. Thank you for reactivating the website, Falko!  ;D

I am making a collection of resources on my dropbox which can assist with this. I already have the base tank sprites and many others. I just need to get my archive stickied so people can see it.

Great thanks for the basebits!!

Hi Falko,
Looks like the site is down again and the community is in panic, as usual. Could you please deliver us? :)

I don't know is this topic still alive and author still active, but small suggestion. It will be nice if there shall be a feature to upload image to editor as an background (just like that WMS working), and that image will be resized to cover globe.

It can't be done as far as I know, because each polygon on the globe must draw from a very limited set of globe polygon textures. There is far less than enough to use a different texture for every single polygon.

Someone could write an algorithm to arrange polygon textures based on an image which is used as a "heat map" for texture placement, but even that is probably pretty difficult. You'll be lucky to find someone willing to do it.

Can I add own textures to the world editor? And can I change the color of the textures?

Another request:
The hwpbuild could support drawingRoutine 22
and you could also implement the interfaces for my Python code for a hwpmerger so it runs on your page.

Did the lease for the domain apparently run out? Looks like nobody is owning this sub domain anymore.

By the way, is there a Github Repo or something we could fork from? It would be nice to run the code locally as a fall back.

Thankfully it appears that Falko's Modding Tools are back online.

I can't imagine trying to work with 2x2 units without access to the "HWP Builder" and I'm using the "Combine Sprites" & "Palette Converter" tools constantly.

I agree. A way to make an offline backup of these excellent tools would be highly desirable.

Falko, I'm not sure if you are still developing these tools, but I'd really like some way to do the opposite to the HWP Builder: take a cut sheet and turn it into a raw one. The reason is that I'd like to alter some original UFO/TFTD tanks, but all I have are the cut versions, and assembling them by hand would be a lot of work.
If you could add such an option, I'd be most grateful.
