Here is a list of mods I'm using. Could one of them be causing the problem? It was running perfectly fine until now. I am about mid game.

Custom Grenades
Extra Explosions
Golden Cydonia

Sniper Rifle
UFO Background Ambience

Well, which of these mods add new ground missions? STR_TERROR_MISSION_OUTPOST is some alien deployment, and certainly not vanilla (I just double-checked). This deployment is missing (not found), but it is defined somewhere to be used (or there would be no such check). Try searching your mod folders for this string and then report your findings to that mod, I guess.

It's caused by XCOM Terrain Pack.

Globe texture -18 points to that alien deployment, but it's not defined anywhere.

I suspected it was the Terrain pack. I turned it off and it still caused that crash. Is my game permanently broken now?

Turning off a mod doesn't remove the stuff that's already in your save.

To fix it, the generated mission must be removed from your save.

Is there a way to do that? Can I modify my save file?

Already replied in PM.

The power cord of my work laptop broke and I'm waiting for a replacement to arrive from China. Until I receive it's impossible to fix the issue but it should be quick once I can properly work on it.

Until then, sorry for the wait but it's in the post office hands.

Also, in the crashed plane map, the entire ground would explode if hit by an explosion. Is this by design? I just assumed it was jet fuel that leaked from the plane.

I know that in Terror From The Deep
Spoiler:
If you hit the sunken plane wing the entire thing goes up.

Yup. It was kind of funny when it happened. I just assumed it was fuel that leak from the plane when it crashed.
