X-com medieval
« on: December 09, 2022, 02:16:03 am »
Just wondered if any modders are going to do a total medieval conversion?
I am playing Fantasy atm and loving it.
I would love a full on Fantasy conversion without any future tech, like a castle style base and horses etc. It could have all the magic and even big flying creatures as crafts.
If I knew how I would do it myself.

There were some attempts (Luke83 started such a project several eons ago), and some other modders also mentioned such ideas, but nothing substantial has ever materialised.

Here's a hint: when I started modding, I didn't know how to do anything either. ;) But this community is very helpful and it's not hard to get started.

Luke83 has started FOXC.   There are some units and tiles:

A burning blade / flame sword has been planned for decades as seen in the ancient images.  Incendiary (I) swords and Armor Piercing (AP) swords are expected, but I would also be interested to see a High Explosive (HE) sword.  Would a vorpal blast radius backfire on the wielder?
