Hi, I understand that there a version of xpiratez been released. N9.5.

However, when I download it, the rar is still "Dioxine_XPiratez_N9.0.1.rar"? Is it the N9.5 version?

As don't want to waste my half a day converting the images and updating the source codes and doing testing if there is no new version uploaded. Although was thinking if there's no download for my version, I will cease wasting my time converting the images (and only do it when I want to play xpiratez - although I'm waiting for the final version before replaying)

hey all, is there somewhere where I can get a list of missions and craft restrictions. I am thinking of upgrading my airbus to a faust but don't know if this will then prevent me from being able to do the Dr X hideout mission.


I made for myself a excel table with the info, what is most important for me (not only about the vessels), updated to N.9.0.1.

Hi there, I started playing 2 weeks ago, loving it so far, sorry if the questions seem stupid.

I am on my second run, I could not research fast enough and could not do missions at 2602 without being steamrolled.

I tried to search different on google and here on the forum, but could not find much answers to these questions:

1 - How do I open gambling to use the blue credit chips?
 Answer: bag of money

2 - What are good guns to use underwater? The shark men are tough

3 - How to deal with lobstermen? At the first time I found them, I had to stun rod them to oblivion, 5 person around it till it died

4 - How I get to laser?

5 - I have been using a lot of rotogun, but they are bad against armor. I got to get the smartgun, but that too. How to deal with armored enemies without laser or plasma? Shotguns? Flamethrowers?

6 - Are there still ships that don´t spend fuel depending on the path, or only the initial airbus does that?

7- Should I have a full team of each species?

All mentioned below is for 1st year, later there are better things, but other player can have better ideas.

2 - throwables - javelins, pointed sticks, then dart pistol, hasrpoon gun, harpoon carbine, X-bow, Corel X-bow, Kraken Cannon, Ballista or meele like pikes, boathooks,...
3 - barbaric sword (whirlwind)  is great, and I think crysalid grenade or chemical grenade is instant kill for them.
4 - from first encounters with  hybrids, or from academy, there are few groups using them
5 - golden guns, omega rifle, RPG... but best is meele - vibroblade, poison dagger, barbaric sword, pike,... or daze weapons, grenades,... chemical weapons are good against armor (damagin it). Even some strong pistols with heavy bullet are good, or pistols what leveling damage with your skills...
6 - I don´t understand, all ships spending any kind of fuel they using during flying/driving... just some has 9999miles, os it looks like they can fly/drive without spending fuel.
7 - diversity is good, CAtgirls, Lokknars and  Bugeyes has very good night vission, Bugeyes also Voodoo skills and so on.... I´m using mixed groups, but very depends on what mission and who I faiting against. Some missions are restricted only to some species.

My experience is that I cannot unzip it from one harddrive to another, it will take ages (I have expensive new PC with two very fast NVMe SSD drives - still wrong way for me to do it).
Also subfolders (stupid windows "C:/user/....../download/" folder) could by a problem - try to copy zip file into root (C:/ for example), right clik on it and unzip into folder (name of the zip file).

I think it does not matter too much about the SW you using for opening the zip or 7z container, it is more about the windows and HW actual status (I guess cuplrit are some buffers, access rights,... and other windows vs harddiscs magic, like UAC, defender, or other (anti)vyrus,...).

For me sometimes happen that it very fast unzip 50% and then it slow down to take few seconds for each file. Then I just cancel it, start the same procedure again, skip already unziped files so it will continue from those they aren´t unziped yet. Sometime I have to do it like 2-3 times to complete it, but it is still in 2-3 minutes.

I´ve runned it without piratezCitiesLore and still same error...
I will try to reinstall or remove config from old version and make new...

edit - sorry I´m stupid. I have instaled M4.1 not N4.0.1 .... I have all downloads in one folder.... apologies for inconvenience.

OK I see, you are the person with zero tolerance to arguments of other people. Nothing against you, you grow up like this.
I´m a king of person who eat sausage with mustard, ketchup or apple, I do not care... if you understand...

But you have to understand that Solarius and other contributors spend thousend of hours on this game, where they have to think about how to spent them effectively.
Not be in position like Star citizen, where everything looks great, but the game is barelly playable even after 8 years and bambilion of money.

So let them do their work how they wanted, because they are authors of their dreams and imaginations.
Do not tell Van Gogh how to paint his own pictures.

If you really miss all these thing you wrote about, just make your own mod, spend hundreds of hours and release it here, I think lot of people here will enjoy your work.
If you are able to do so... I´m not, I have to be creative in my job, after job I want just enjoy the game as the author made it. If I like it I will play it, if it frustrate me I will go look elsewhere.

Have a nice day and spent a little time to praise people around not just criticize, they will like you more :)

Maid just cleaning the cage and maybe smoke cigarette there, what is wrong about it? Your soldiers fall in, with nasty guns, killing everything.... and she just want to do her job as every day.... :(  bad bad xcom...

people playing "gun porn" games do not play games where the gun visualisation is made by let say 16x10 pixels, you will realy will not see the marking of the producer on it.
So you cannot say if your gun is Beretta, or brazilian Taurus, or another xyz copy in real world. So it is 9mm pistol, why not ?

I see no mistakes in game (unless something is broken, bug, or so) - graphic is pixel art, intentionaly looking like old 1994 Xcoms, and that exactly why me, Solarius and another few thousends ppl here playing this games and modes - we are "classic games porn"  players, where extreme realism do not play the role.

just for fun I would like to see your comment how real are all the sci fi monsters and aliens ? Did you met them? are they exactly as you saw them ?

So then if one important thing in the game cannot be absolutly real, why should be all others ?

I guess you saw few movies or series where in future soldiers has G36 and P90 guns, which are actually from 1970+ in real life. That I guess tearing you appart when you watching it.

you need to open the window (in direction you want shoot). Same way like you opening any doors but not going through them. then you can shoot out of Jellyfish.

Wow, M3 (1.3) i like the new bootypedia images, pheraps the yellow text might be a bit more brighter, for the reader sake? I also like the new starting bonuses, and now cold seems really unforgivable, i took some few step in a very feezy map, but i canno go onboard again on the airbus so basically im stuck, ha! It's the same for other wheater conditions?

Furs and frozen Atom beer in backpack is a must :)

The main limitations to UI redesigns are making things fit, there isn't much room too work with. 320x200, because 1994 game engine. If you can find a way to cram in potentially 13 resists, 4 armor values, and 13 potential attributes boosts and still be readable in 320x200 without scrolling and keep the picture and text, that would be great.

something like this ? Playing with MS paint... values are not valid for warrior armor just an example of template. Still will be necessary to scroll, but this is probably max we can get from scrollable text area.
This will be very helpfull to compare values between armors by arrows, while the values and effects/resistances are on exactly same spot on top.

Can be, distress calls dont always got someone to rescue.

same like "beast hunt" (or how it is called) and you get humanist, or other human oponents... All gals equiped for the spiders, and after first look out from window and I have to reequip them completely...
But I love this kind of suprises :).
