Hey liking the way this mod plays. Just wanted to say that the names of the item and ufopaedia entries are coming up as STR_SCOUT etc etc etc. Using Windows 7, 1.0 milestone build, and GB language. Any idea what might be going wrong? I'm a bit rubbish at working out errors!

Hey! Really liking the shotgun, it is awesome for killing aliens close up and busting through weak terrain like wood and fences. Really useful gun. Just a quick question about the upgraded shotgun and the ammo for it; when does the research become available? I've done all the plasma stuff, and it's not appeared yet, does it become available after blaster launcher research? Sorry if it says earlier in the thread and I missed it.

Just an update to let the mod creator know that his legacy mod is working with 1.0 for me as well AND a working nicely alongside some other mods. Excellent work on the mod!

Quick question regarding the commendations; how exactly can I find out the requirements for each commendation or create any of my own?

Yeah, I did the same thing and had no problems. It would appear the commendations mod is the problem. I have posted in the mod thread to let the creator know.

I updated the link with a fresh compile, and "play tested" 2 missions and they worked fine. Let me know if that fixes your issues.

I just installed the newest version on a fresh install and it's still crashing at the inventory and battle screen for me. Running windows 7 64 bit.

I'm having the same issue with crashes when I try to enter the Inventory or Battle screen. It might be how I'm installing the mod. Could I please have a really simple guide to properly installing the mod, especially the dll's? I'm new to modding and I just want to make sure I'm getting it right! Thanks!

With a fresh install and after some experimentation, I think it's the Soldier Diary Commendation mod that's causing the problem. As it's the only mod I've got that requires you to change the dll files and the installation instructions a little unclear, I just want to make sure I've got this absolutely correct and it's not me causing the problem. To install that mod I am

- Backing up the openxcom exe file.
- Adding the Resources and Ruleset files to the relevant folders in my OpenXcom directory
- Extracting the dll's to C:/Program Files/OpenXcom (this is where the original dll files are)

I get prompted to replace or copy and rename the dll files when I extract, and I have been replacing them. Is that the problem?

Sorry if It's me causing the problem, I've never really played around with mods before.

Okay, just been through and tested a few mods individually. I restored all the options to default, and switched off all mods, then went through one by one and tested;

- Lukes Extra UFOs
- Mass Accelarator Weapons
- Raven Interceptor
- Soldier Diaries
- Armoured Vest
- Laser Rifle Recolour and Heavy Laser Balance

The game crashed every time, and even with all mods turned off. I'm going to try a fresh install of the game and try this again.

Yeah, I'm gonna through each mod and see if one specific mod is causing it. It is also crashing when I try and get into a battle.

I'm running on Windows 7, 64 bit. I've got a few mods running (basically the top ten in the mods portal) and when I hit the "Inventory" button under the Equip Craft menu, the game crashes. Tried it a few times. Anybody had a similar problem or any idea of a fix?

Hi guys. Excited to get stuck and play some OpenXcom but I'm having a problem installing mods. Whenever I try to extract the mod data into the OpenXcom data folder (following the installation instructions) I get an error message in WinRAR telling me that I can't copy the files across because "access is denied". I have tried this with a few different mods, and it happens every time. I'm the admin on this computer, and I wasn't prompted to give admin permission for anything to happen. Apologies if I'm making some rookie mistake, but has anyone else had a similar problem?

EDIT: Turns out I was making a rookie mistake, I think I've fixed it. Excellent first post in the forum .... Thanks anyway!
