Clearer language around Base Game vs Mods!
« on: April 03, 2021, 11:56:24 pm »
I'm running Ubuntu 20.04 and the Nightly appimage 2021-03-29.

From getting OpenXcom working, it seems to default to UFO Defense. When I went to mods and selected TFTD, then the intro for TFTD started playing... but that wasn't the first place I looked. Instead I thought clicking 'new game' would ask me which one.

If both are installed, should 'new game' ask you which one you want to start? Or even an option of which base game you want to open before anything else?

Retroactively, I understand that in a way, all base games are 'mods' but a new user like me might not assume that their original versions of the game will be 'mods'.

New game can't do this because this would force reload of all data, and in case big mods wold take long time.
Only thing I think should be done is rename this button to `Games / Mods` or something like this to make it more clear in this case.

For sure. Maybe 'new game' isn't the best option... but maybe even something before getting to that menu? Like a 'base game' selection right off the top?
