I wonder if there's a plan to alter the combat experience system, so experience will be granted to anyone on a mission who didn't get to shoot somebody. As it is now, in field soldiers only gain experience if they've managed to attack and hit an enemy, no matter what else they've done. This limits a lot of potential tactics, including having support staff, because they can never get stronger/faster/healthier, without using gym/dojo facilities.
I'd really like to see experience granted just based on what's been done without that additional requirement of having to hit somebody. Just think of the potential in Piratez, of finally being able to recruit a few cheap peasants to provide support, instead of having to have everyone be a fighter if you want them to become more capable.
