global coverage
« on: July 08, 2014, 11:13:17 am »
8 bases with hyperwaves are enough to provide complete enough global coverage that you will never fail to detect a UFO.
I always got some land that was not covered by radar
so i made a mod and tried to do fix that and accomplished this
soo now i am not 100% happy with my placements
i hope others share their complete covered placements perhaps there are better base positions

i attached save, mod, and some images

Mine are sort of similar, but my Africa is further east, I use Mongolia vice India to cover most of the Arctic, and Western Australia to catch SE Asia.

I always start my first base somewhere near Istambul. It covers all of Europe, plus some of Africa and Middle East and Russia. It´s the best place to cover a lot of countries and almost no sea.

Same, though I'm trying to place it within the Russian borders. It's a matter of habit, since I used to think for a long time that having a base in a country gives you better standing with them, so I wanted a base within some funding country. This is not true, but oh well, habits.

i moved my starting base to netherlands since i tried to get base positions that cover all land (with hyperwavedecoder)
the question off the thread is/was what other/better base positions do you have that accomplish the full land coverage

the northpole is covered (i admit not good to see with the screenshots)
