The problem is that people which do those kind of tactics never, ever do good tactics... which help survival of there soldiers.
Yep. Though that is true, what really matters is if the player is having fun. I've seen a lot of players that play like this. Where they just grind up troops, and life is cheap. Actually, in my experience, most of the popular YT videos of XCOM feature this play style. But I think that they are still having fun.
That said, its definitely not my taste. I do value the lives of my troopers and love to learn tactics that help preserve them.
