Excuse me for saying this:

Criticising this work in the way, which is done, makes no sense for me..

At least it doesn`t deserve, talking about a "bad remake"...

Yup. There is good criticism and bad criticism. And trolling.

as for new sounds new music and new interface... i'm not at all sure what you mean, the music and sound effects are all original, and the only interface changes we've made have been usability oriented, like incorporating the scroll wheel.

as for new features, anything i add that goes outside the realms of what ufo had to offer are disabled and unused by default. anyone picking up the game to play without fiddling with options or mods should have more or less the same experience as someone playing the original xcom, albeit with the aforementioned usability tweaks.

there should be no need for an alternative fork like hszp suggests, the default package represents this. anything that's an optional extra is exactly that, optional. nobody is forcing you to use pathfinding preview, or to enforce containment limits, or use shotguns.
Exactly!! That's the point!

Yup. There is good criticism and bad criticism. And trolling.
I couldn't agree more.

I believed this was just a joke, another way to congratulate SupSuper and co with humour, for their amazing job...

But you seem to be right, this is for sure a troll, either a mountain troll or perhaps even an Olog Hai

Game keeps same spirit as original with perfection, any improvement I am aware of was in fact necessary, I mean playing XCOM without lot of these new features could be very boring today

And what to say about the modding capabilities...

OMG, where did I put my 2-handed sword !

I don't think he is a troll, I think he's frustrated and confused and has very poor english skills. Also I suspect he's running into lots of errors and other issues as he tries to update from 1.0 to 1.4.

For example, here's an earlier post:
Quote
hello, i have europe version UFO from here:

edit: no abandonware links please

how i can install?
i run openxcom and alert: GMDEFEND not found.. i copy game data to DATA folder and c:/program files/steam/..etc

He got xcom from an abandonware site and was following instructions he didn't understand and found himself putting the xcom data into his steam folder? A very creative and funny troll or confused and frustrated?

he also had problems with 1.0 data which i invalidated a while back and made it spit out an error message with URLs to the patches, that particular problem shouldn't pop up any more i hope.

The man isn't a Troll. If he's against OpenXCOM, bear in mind, he's still a person.

Will his logic falter, against the other players? Do not support devils.

I don't support Trolls, I support Open XCOM.
