[CRAFT] Firestorm Restyle

Since I've always sort of disliked the plain, rather unimaginative saucer aspect of the default Firestorm, I decided to restyle it to give it a more advanced Terran look. Had to redo the UFOpedia entry text to accommodate the new design, and following the line of other craft, the base sprite takes some liberties when it comes to colours: I chose the Avenger's colour scheme for the Firestorm's new look.

Download the attached package, extract it to your OpenXcom's data folder and enable the FirestormRestyle ruleset in options.cfg. Enjoy!

Wow that looks amazing, might be better if it looked like it could carry weapons but still looks freaking amazing.

Wow that looks amazing, might be better if it looked like it could carry weapons but still looks freaking amazing.

At those speeds; all the weapons would be carried internally in weapons bays, or would be contained behind a special 'window' door that snaps open when it's time to fire (F-22 has a 'door' for the M61 to maintan stealth).

True but the plane does look very flat as in it doesn't look like it has room for weapons, regardless though it's a very pretty plane.

How about using that image for the new craft you can research before the actual firestorm.

I always though that not being to able to create/research a craft that is basically normal earth tech + alien alloys as a stop gap measure before you get firestorms and avengers was a little dumb, especially in TFTD were the requirements for new craft were a little steep.
