Hi, I recently saw X-Com: Ufo Defense on sale at GOG.com and had to buy it right away.
It actually runs quite well with the Dosbox. But there are a few places where it gets pretty slow.

By random I saw a few xcom videos on YouTube with openxcom.
I have now installed the latest nightly build Meridian 2025-02-07. Everything is running without any problems and really well.
But after an hour of playing, I realized that I came to a bit of a standstill. Only then did I realize that I didn't have Elerium-115 yet. I then played a few more missions and took extra care. But no Elerium-115 dropped.

Then I played the original game briefly on GOG. It got the Elerium-115 with the first mission.

Is there a drop problem with it in the current nightly build? Apart from a few resolution settings, I haven't changed anything else. I also don't use any mods.

I'm a bit at a loss right now ...  :o

Elerium-115 is destroyed if you (or the aliens) use explosive ammunition or grenades nearby.

Exploded UFO power sources also don't have Elerium-115.

Ah ok. I just saw on some openxcom videos that the Elerium-115 had received on an intact (not shot down) UFO.

Is this a change in openxcom compared to vanilla?

All right. The ufopedia helped me to understand my problem. 👍
