Currently the height of the arrows is dependant on the detected unit's height. For most units the variance is negligible, but for particularly small units present in mods (cybermites, holodrones) it results in an visually incorrect representation of said unit's location as it can bee seen in the attached screenshots of a custom mix race for an alien base. In the process of testing I noticed that the indicator only considers the units height and doesn't take into accout the floating height resulting in the holodrone indicator pointing to its 'center'. I think a fixed constant height equivalent to a unit's standHeight of 20 would result in a more reliable visual representation.

Agreed, dependency on unit height can spoil the unit type (of a hidden unit).

Yes, this also crossed my mind, but I never mentioned it.
