Underwater mission requirements?

Hi I'm new to the mod loving it so far. I'm at advancement II, got blackops weapons, destroyed red dawn, research is narrowing down besides a bunch of weapons acquisitions. I know there's supposed to be underwater content but I haven't unlocked any. I only have Ufo Defense and don't have tftd. I assume that's why none of it is appearing. Will I still be able to finish the game, and even if I am, is it just better to buy tftd and get the full experience? Kudos to the team for such an amazing mod.

As far as I know, there's no dependency on TFTD, although there is one for the original.

You've probably not captured/researched a sufficiently strange Dagonite.

The requirement for completing the T'leth arc before endgame was removed aeons ago. So it's just extra stuff to do, unless I missed something recent-ish.

I have been slacking on Dagon, I'll go after them next and see where it takes me. Thanks!
