daytime x-files
« on: May 14, 2020, 05:22:21 pm »
There is a mod that does missions during the daytime, how to adapt it for x-files

In one of the previous versions, I edited this mod: added a line
  - type: dummy
    shade: 0
and most of the missions really did become in the daytime, but now when a new game starts, the missions don’t come at all

You would need to make a mod specifically for XCF (with metadata referring either to x-com-files or *), and in the actual ruleset you need to do the same as in the standard XcomUtil_Always_Daytime mod, but list all deployments present in XCF.

I wouldn't recommend this though, some factions are a real pain to fight by day... :)

In which file can I see all the deployments?

Is "dummy" one of the deployments? I took it from the file alienMissions_XCOMFILES.rul (x-com files)

Last time I changed in the metadata.yml xcom1 file to "*".
And just added the "dummy" deployment. True, I did it in an already launched game, and it seems like the missions continued to appear, but now I did it at the beginning of a new game, missions simply do not appear...

I understand that day missions break balance and surroundings, but my eyes leak when I play at night

Thanks!

You can also press Ctrl+End twice to turn on full brightness.

This will only change the visual side, all the game mechanics will still work the same way as during the night.

Is there a secret key sequence that changes visuals back to normal after ctrl+end twice is used?

Yes, ctrl+end for the third time.
Very secret, don't tell anyone :)
