You need to catch a live one, but the mission will show up again.

Do you need to shoot down the cyberweb battleship in order to trigger the mission or can you just wait it out, it's not exactly clear. Because christ is shooting that thing down terrifying to me atm

Realized why I was so confused that advanced movement wasn't enabled by default, it straight up refers to sprint in the "Hotkeys: Battlescape" entry. Definitely makes sense to have it by default if you're going to refer to it there.

No, you sometimes need to research items in order to buy them off the black market.

I think it can overstun thus die if I remember correctly. Unless it is changed.
It can but I'm less afraid of that happening

to be fair, you can 100% just loot them and then use their weapons on that same mission. Probably not how the missions were meant to be played but whatever.

I assume the cave men thing is because there is a cult of apocalypse subculture called cavemen but it really isn't that great going up against rocket launcher jerks with them. If it was just UAC rifles etc, it probably wouldn't be as bad.

I later realized you probably took into account engineer costs and yeah. Granted, selling something is probably better than firing and rehiring engineers but not a true profit

Solarius, what are your plans concerning manufacturing costs/profits? Right now there are no items above (or even at) the break-even point, and the only items that come close are craft cannons (gauss/rail). While I take it that this is intended, the disparity between craft cannons and all other items seem kind of odd.
Pretty sure you can profit off electric prods decently well. Haven't found anything else yet that makes decent buck tho.

This may not be a bug, but I have zombies corpses and captured ones and I cannot research them because they do not pop in the research screen. Maybe I am missing some prereq. tech?
You can use the tech tree viewer (q key on geoscape) to check if you're missing something. It's likely you're missing medical services though, which can be obtained through sickbay and better.

Most recent versions of XPiratez actually have slots like this but there's a lot more items in xpiratez to be used in these slots. So far though, in XCF I haven't so much had the problem of not enough slots so much as just not enough strength to justify carrying them as opposed to a bigger gun or healing or grenades or whatever.

You can restore AIs even if they die, just go to the AGENTS screen, click on the dropdown menu in the bottom left and you can restore AI assigned to that base that died.

It is wrong for gameplay reasons, lore be dammed to have a enemy that can one shot your full HP troops across the entire map in missions that arent even mid game when every other non-melee enemy needs to actually hit you more than once to do damage and they have to get a LOS with you.
...You mean unlike EXALT enforcers with grenade launchers? Because they loved to shoot me from across the map.

Something tells me this sprite isn't supposed to look like this when carrying an axe:
