So if you research an enemy, capturing said enemy on later missions will give +10 to score. Now if this is a high ranked enemy, chances are that lowers the score you get from combat, but if it's a civilian, govt agent, etc, that increases it from a negative to a positive. Additionally if you research a hostage, you get the score bonus from just researching the hostage and from whatever information they tell you. Not 100% positive on that one tho.

You can't stun an armored car, only certain damage types avoid triggering self-destruct and electric isn't one of them. I do believe cutting does avoid self-destruct though.

Downloaded the latest version after the crash fixes (L10.3) and found a door that's not solid:

EDIT: Apparently I also found a door that doesn't open properly:

Fresh run starting with L10, Smelly Rags are marked as $0 sell price. However from the post mission completion screen, I was able to get $1 per Rag. Not sure how that one worked. The sell price was properly $0 when selling from a base however.

Each unit has a different positive or negative score value associated with it. Usually civilians, local govt forces, and mutant alliance members give negative score for being killed, but some other units do as well. Hoes are typically associated with the bandits faction but give a negative score upon being killed. Altar Boys and Shrine Maidens also give negative score despite being of the Church. You can check all of them with the wiki, maybe analysis as well but I don't know.

Are you meant to have to buy the hatchet and then research it in order to see its ufopaedia entry? Seems strange when all the other items you start with the ability to buy have their entries unlocked by default.

Well you have to research them to execute them, so you lose out on some initial trophies.  Not a big deal in the long run, but occasionally alliance tokens becomes a bottleneck for entering the mutant alliance, so I just kill them out in the field to make sure.

This is in contrast to the humanist activist missions (KKK dudes), those you get the tokens as battle loot even if you capture them IIRC.
This and the fact that once you research them, the infamy bonus goes from the 100s range to 10 for each upon a capture is why I just kill.

I know you explained why you did this, but seeing a tank coming out of an airbus still caused me extreme pain.

Cutting is a good damage type to resist early game, especially with the recent changes that allow for reaction to melee attacks. Additionally, not every shot early game is super deadly, there's plenty of like pistols and stuff that deal fairly low damage and this helps resist them. While avoiding taking any damage is ideal, sometimes that's extremely difficult (some guy pops up from out of nowhere or something) and so armor can help provide safety.

I play on the middle difficulty and disagree with your assertions but I think this is getting a bit off topic.

Persuadotron is one of the last prizes in the bank chain iirc, check to see if there's a range penalty of sorts.

Scale Mail is a good armor for early game and Slayer is a decent option for Lokks especially in Ratmen caves where they could easily be one shot otherwise. Late game there's barely any usage for them.

I go for them early for a potential source of Chitin Plates that doesn't take a million manufacturing hours for a mere chance (cave hunt). Also is a back-up source of animal poison in case I don't get the event or want more.

After the first like 4 months or so hunters have a chance of appearing, so I want to get to it before then.
