OpenXcom Extended not recognizing my full collection of mods?
« on: February 16, 2021, 07:41:47 pm »
I have a large variety of mods in Documents/OpenXcom/mods which simply aren't showing in the in-game Mods menu within OpenXcom Extended and I'm baffled as to why. Any ideas? Any help would be much appreciated, because I'd really like to play. Thank you <3

Most likely the mods are missing the metadata.yml file.

Check openxcom.log for more details.

ohhhh thank you! So, if a mod never had a metadata.yml file, is there nothing to be done?

you can add the metadata.yml file yourself... it's very simple

You should at least change the name and id, but it should be straightforward.

No, you cannot copy it 1:1.

Each mod must have a unique ID, so you must change at least that.
