And time to do the final Strange Creature mission.
Will our agents be eaten by Warewolf rushing from the darkness?
Will there be Chupakabras?
Will we finaly capture ten rats?
Will it be another training Zombie mission?

In other news I researched the Zombie Infector, who is usually a nightmare to get (he kind of doesn't like to show up). I can now do the "They are breeding report" and get friendlier with MAGMA. After I contact them of course.

And next mission is Shady Tavern.

Not a very easy mission if I recall correctly.

GOOOOO WEEEEEST, where ... OK, I don't remember the lyrics.

The Shanty Tavern is not filled to the brim with Men in Black, but with lowlife Cult of Apocalypse Westmen. These should go out easily as long as I don't walk into the light. If only there was a way to figure out if your agents are visible or not.

Turn 1.

Turns 2 to end.

I lose an agent, probably because this line is lighted by the damn Dragonfly lights. It was a Rookie, or near Rookie, so irrelevant.

Outcome and further research.

We get some nice loot from this one. I am torn between starting a new base soon or replacing a hangar with the large General Stores.

Some more Geoscape stuff and research. We have now heard about Crazy Hassan.
He sells gun boxes and the big one seems like it may have something worthwhile. like once in a blue moon or so.

Next mission also pops up. Another Monster Hunt.

Exalt fails to pop up an Outpost so far. May be next month.

Great stuff, dude!

As for "east German KGB", I meant a KGB office abroad, not local (Stasi). Similar to You-Know-Who.

Thanks.

I should have figured it out from the russian name. So he is like Stirlitz version 2.0.

I really liked the Polish village story. Reminds me of a story from Lovecraft.

Next mission is another monster hunt.
This time a new, for me at least, monster. The Asmodean Cobra.

Next mission will be more farmers. Or MiBs. Or Zombies.

Turns 2-end.

Nothing scary and I don't even get to see the snakes kill anything. They have two weapons, so I assume one is ranged somewhat.

I finally researched the Small Radar. Now I need to do some renovations in the base and find a place for it.

Another question about this wonderful playthrough:
Are you using Advanced Movements? Can't find that info in your posts. Do you even know about Advanced Movements? I have discovered about that recently and was shocked (again). As far as I know this mod is balanced around using Advanced Movements, so this is not cheating.
In any case, can you please add this info on your first post? I think it is important.

Sometimes I use it. Sometimes I don't. I haven't used it most of the playthrough, though.

The issue is I try to run to the next tile sometimes and actually waste TU with strafing.

If you look at some of the running away posts I do run faster than normal move. This is why I started carrying some stims again. They are useful in getting somebody with depleted Energy move again.

EDIT: Running feels a bit like cheating, since the AI is not using it. I have used it somewhat sparingly in this playthrough.

Next mission is the Cattle Mutilation.

We effectively shoot some peasants with gum rounds.

Some more research done and I replace one of the Hangars with a Large General Store. I am not sure it was such a great idea, but I like the extra space. Now I need to clean up the Upper middle and move the last lower hanger up.

The Giant Beetles lead to Carapace armor and the Spike boar to some interesting bow or crossbow.
