Outcome. Sadly the bleeding out Muckstar had bled out. No live specimen this time. :(

We opened some boxes. The lone engineer is back to drinking martinis. And then some research too. We could now find Red Dawn Bases for some red dawn coordinators. I am not sure I am ready for that though, we need Promotion II for the Armored Vest first.

Hey, out of curiosity, how far did you get in your previous campaigns? Have you finished the mod? If not, what was the end point? I'm just trying to discern when, if ever, you'll hit the end of the already known part.

I came to August 1997. I have a third base in the Americas. This month I will have the Syndicate retaliation. Unfortunately I decided to take a screenshot of it for some post and then didn't have a backup of just before and hadn't properly equiped all.

I have finished two cults - Black Lotus and Church of Dagon. I have barely crested the Promotion 3 hill.

I have assaulted only one UFO so far and I got Alien Origins of a Silicoid in one of the cave missions.

At this point I decided to make an AAR here and it didn't make sense to start in the middle. Eventually I should return at that playthrough and finish it at some point in the future.

OK, good! There are plenty of surprises left, then. Can't wait!

And our first seriously serious mission, apart from outposts (OK one outpost). And frogs. And other scary things that sent the agents back home. And you know, easy missions that I underestimated. I think that it will respawn every month until completed, so failure is an option as usual.

Also with the helicopter we don't have a huge time between mission spawn and mission start, so I didn't research 1000 miscellaneous things in the meantime.

If I keep this tempo, I will get there in a few decades.

Turn 1. If we face less than 5 enemies total we might have a chance.

Turn 2. They killed the dog. Sad. I guess they have proper night vision, since Sienna should have been hidden.

And a view of our lovely base with the new animal pen. I actually don't think I needed it, but already paid for.
