What mods are you using? This looks like far from vanilla...

X-com files and that is all. It comes with Dark Geoscope, but it is only visuals. X-com files is a mega mod that includes all of Final Mod Pack and many other mods, that I am mostly unfamiliar with. It starts in 1996, with catching of cultist and other low level threats. Pretty much starts as X-Files and later becomes vanilla X-Com with pieces from TFTD, Apocalypse and whatever catches Solaruis Scorch's attention (he is the autor).

If you squint your eyes it is like watching the X-files with all sorts of wacky alien cults, criminals trading alien tech, occasional UFOs, prehistoric monsters, deep sea creatures and what not. It also starts slower with less powerful enemies, weaker weapons and fewer agents.

Axial Tilt (having seasonal lightning) is OXCE option.

Am I forgetting something. Let's do that milk run tutorial. Attempt 3.

How to do Strange Creature deer hunt.

Follow these 3 steps and you too can impress the ladies with your mad X-Com-poth skillz.

Step 1. Clear the landing zone.

Looks clear.

Step 2. Pull out the training pistols for some hot Reaction fire training. Light pistols would have been ideal if they had 11 instead of 10 rounds per clip. We will use whatever I gave to the agents. In the future we will shift to Spypistols.

11 shots are optimal, so both the Beretta and the Glock doesn't need to reload. When they are empty the agents is done.

What could possibly go wrong?

A few turns later ...

Step 3. Switch to shotguns and clear up the level. Also hitting the tile with a stunned enemy will hurt him. Just don't let them close.

And the boring part is done. If you wonder why a carry so many shotgun reloads in the craft, it is for those same missions with 100+ zombies.

EDIT: These sort of missions are usually straight forward and rarely exciting. I will report them in short in the future even if I end up with 100+ enemies. If I manage to screw up, or get some interesting situation I will use more details.

Some giant beetles decide to take a walk, while we wait for the dawn on Magadascar.

And the Madagacsar mission disappears while we wait for daylight. The strange animals just aren't there anymore. Strange, huh.

Finally a new age beckons us. No, an Epoch.

We were living in the Epoch 0 The time of no Armor, but now we enter

Chapter 2. The Epoch of the Kevlar Vest.

This is a huge improvement. We get 20 front armor and 80% modifier for kinetic (firearms). Most early guns are between 20 and 30 damage, so my agents will likely survive a shot or two now.

I switch to medicine in hope of getting to the easier Lab to get to - the Bio Lab, which will give me another 5 scientists to play with.

Let's hunt polish peasants this time. We can even take a shotgun to the face and may be, not drop down on our face.
