One of them walked into striking range and took a wrench to the head.

This turn was another ironman-ish moment when I realized that I prioritized them wrong.

I deleted the collage and am not going to redo it, sorry. The team hit some cultists on the head and they fell. The northernmost guy with the Iron pipe survived.

Next turn. Some wrenches hit some heads, but I think I saw a reaction fire from the north. Bad business.

Rookies Expendables, know your place, it is in the path between bullets and experienced agents.

Aside from staying in the dark, what are your general strategy tips for these types of missions?
Especially when it's against ninjas.
I find myself savescumming a lot, sometimes even just for retreating.

Buy Light Pistols (for Sport) Spypistol(for sport and Labor) and Crosbow (for Beach). The Nailgun (the big one, not the Stapler) also works for Labor. Check what you can use and buy it.

Stay in the dark and shoot them from there, they don't have sniper spotter at this level and have nothing they could do.

What I do here is pretty scary, since I have no guns for this mission, but only one of them has one, so it isn't that scary.

Oh, and send the expendables to the forefront. If things go highwire, retreat.

There isn't much else. Don't get shot is the real deal on these missions without armor.

Against ninjas I will use the Scout Drone since it can see them from 5 tiles more and send bigger group. The VAN can't really take on a Black Lotus Outpost and above.

So, walk forward, look for the assassin, retreat. Dogs are also useful for the Track, especially on the HQ. I don't think that Assasins show up on covert missions. At least I haven't seen one. Warriors do, and they look exactly like Assassins, but don't have camo.

I found the armed one. Let's hope he doesn't find us.

He did shoot at somebody once but missed. Nighty-night.

Our resident scientist from the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences opened the Money Briefcase in the explosives testing bunker (just to be safe) and nearly exploded. We barely saved his life. That was more money than he could possibly imagine.

And let's have some spiders. Sounds like a two stage mission. I have never done one of these before.

And a Black Lotus Outpost shows up. The only thing available is the Van, but I don't think it is enough for this one. Also I have only the worst agents available.

I have 2 other missions, the spiders and the Madman. Both of them are for higher points and the Madman will even counter the point loss from the Outpost.

I will pass.
