Tell me how to edit files so that vehicles can fly to ground missions, and fighters to UFOs. When there are a lot of bases and planes it’s very difficult to navigate a large list

Elaborate? There is no way to filter a list of craft that can go to missions in interception windows...


You could click on individual bases for the interception window of just that base or hit I for all of them, but there's no way to filter those.

ahh sorry. went into the original openxcom. Any ships are sent to missions only fighter jets fly and return.

For some reason I thought that earlier only land transport could be sent to ground missions. Apparently confused with another game. Upset. It’s very hemorrhaging to scroll through the list and find the right ship. Especially getting tired after 500 UFOs ...

Just rename the plane that's important to you - add a symbol "*" or something similar to the name to find it in the list more quickly.
To rename an aircraft, click on its name in the aircraft's equipment window.

This would be a nice feature for OXCE. Would have to remain a modding option because some craft have more complex roles, e.g. multirole, radar, escort. And so might add more complexity than is worth. Could also respect mission restrictions e.g. not show Dragonfly after clicking "intercept" button of a covert mission.

How to remove the ability to start a mission from fighters?
I tried to add the allowLanding line but does not start the game due to an error ((

A fighter can't land if it doesn't have pilots and can if it does.


Anyways, why does it matter if someone wants to solo a mission from a fighter?
