Intercepting UFOs always being destroyed?

Hi!
I have being trying this mod and I'm liking it a lot.

I am now encountering UFOs intercepting my crafts. It's cool, realistic, and it make sense.

But a weird thing about it, is that when the UFOs are intercepting my fighters and my fighters win, the UFO is always destroyed. And there is almost no UFO that doesn't try to intercept me. Destroy large scouts with just avalanches and stingrays should be very unlikely, and in my case is always the case when the UFOs intercepts me. I think I even destroyed a terror ship with two fighters equipped only with stingrays and avalanches. Weird.

So, when a UFO appears, I send my interceptor. When my interceptor is close enough the UFO goes to intercepts me. After the fight the UFO is always destroyed, so, there is no mission I can get money and experience from.

So, no missions, no money, can't replace or complement the damaged interceptors, so no escort for the Skyranger. This makes me get less money every time and it seems I'm trapped in a vicious cicle.

Is normal that all the UFOs that intercept me end up destroyed?

I think any fight between crafts should have the same chances of ending up destroying the UFOs, right?

It is configurable.

Not sure what settings apply to Area51.

Ah ok. So, it seems it is set to 100% chance of being destroyed if UFO is intercepting.

Exactly. Otherwise, too much extra loot from intercepting UFOs.

I see. Although it seems a bit an arbitrary way of controlling difficulty, to be honest. Kind of using a Deux Ex Machina when writing a story.

Where can this parameter (% chance of being destroyed) be changed? I guess it is differentiated between types of UFO missions, right?
