[SOLVED] Cannot find GMINTRO1 music file

Hello, just installed openxcom 6.1.1 on an ubuntu 18.04 machine but game cannot start since seems the file GMINTRO1 is mission, but actually it's present in the folder. I used a win version of the game

First thing I would try is to disable the intro, you can do that in the options.cfg file.

Change

Code: [Select]
  playIntro: true

to

Code: [Select]
  playIntro: false

If that helps, there is something wrong only with that file.

If it doesn't help, there is something wrong with music in general.

Yep, it worked, but the game start with vanila openxcom, and then need to activate the mod in the menu Maybe it's a bug with the linux build, since in windows there are no problems at all.

Since the log complains about "/etc/timidity/freepats.cfg" it could also be possible midi is not setup correctly on your system.

If that is the case try the following cli commands (or install the 2 packages via your preferred GUI):

# or
apt install timidity freepats

From personal experience the 2nd one is not necessary, although it might be needed in your case.
