You already get punished for hitting your friend. You just hit your own unit.
What I don't like is that now you get punished even if it did no damage.

To discourage abusive usage for various training acts.
Something like cutting/shooting your own units to treat the wounds (cruel bravery training).

Speaking of betrayer, I had a gal mind control an enemy and made him prime a grenade and let it blow up in his hand which killed him.  The mind controller got betrayer :(

Works as intended.

>Gets lots of free bonus stats
>Complains of not getting more

Man it's the same song all over again. The condemnations are intended to be climatic, not balanced. Also yes, like Ethereal Medic said, they're as grind-unfriendly as I could without killing fun for those who don't grind.

Some seem a bit too strong to be honest. The Cannoneer gives +5 HP/firing alternatively per level and geting a lot of kills with mortars and rocketg launvhers is something you were going to do anyway and is the most outstanding offender in this regard.  On top of that, the condemnation bonuses should be reflected in equipment geting a bit worse base stats. I didn’t even grind bravery and accuracy with my gnome, but she can fite the tank MG with perfect pinpoint accuracy across the whole map making the battlecannon seem almost superficial.

I only have a problem with syns stacking -freshness with their already super small cap, forcing you to "achievement hunt" the +freshness condemnations to counter it instead of playing naturally.

AS long as you have some on a syn you could just hit the smokes. Syn has regen so doesn't mind the hp ding.
