Do save games carry over after an update?

Usually not.
The game engine can handle it.


But if you haven't upgraded the mod for a long time (more than 12 months let's say), your save will not reflect the intended gameplay anymore and it's better to start fresh even if the save can be loaded.

Whenever there are any issues, I always mention them in the forum post where I announce the release.
