[Answered] Getting experience without shooting someone?

I wonder if there's a plan to alter the combat experience system, so experience will be granted to anyone on a mission who didn't get to shoot somebody. As it is now, in field soldiers only gain experience if they've managed to attack and hit an enemy, no matter what else they've done. This limits a lot of potential tactics, including having support staff, because they can never get stronger/faster/healthier, without using gym/dojo facilities.
I'd really like to see experience granted just based on what's been done without that additional requirement of having to hit somebody. Just think of the potential in Piratez, of finally being able to recruit a few cheap peasants to provide support, instead of having to have everyone be a fighter if you want them to become more capable.

The current experience system was implemented exactly with the requirement of "no experience for free" in mind.

As requested by PirateZ at that time.

For the record, you don't have to hit someone to get experience. Further options are:
- Soldier resists panic (Moral < 50)
- Soldier healed a wound
- Soldier used a psi amp, no matter if the attempt was successful (you can argue that this is an attack...)

So if you have nurses that actually got to patch someone up in combat (enemies count as well), they will get experience for the mission.

There is also a Yankes-script used in Piratez to grant extra stats similar to how experience does it when taking units on certain difficult missions.

In other words, you don't need a new feature to grant experience for nothing, you just need to either write some Yankes-script or ask someone to write it for you.
