Attention, this is MPTV with the latest news updates!

X-COM forces have reportedly raided the Cult of Sirius' Temple of the Apocalypse earlier today as part of the ongoing conflict against the Cultists ever since the mysterious object first appeared over the city. With the Senate already in the middle of an election year, and reports of alien activity taking place all over the city, X-COM is now under pressure to respond to the alien threat, with MegaPol's resources beings stretched thin across the city.

In other news, a MegaPol police vehicle has reportedly crashed with a civilian vehicle by accident near X-COM's base in the city. With the information having just reached our studios here at MPTV, we are still attempting to learn more as this situation unfolds. Stay tuned for further updates!

NOTE: This is the GNN X-COM Apocalypse playthrough. Sorry if it does not look like it, but I realised that GNN is probably either gone by this point or busy with other news stories. So, MegaPrimus TV will have to do for the moment. Sorry, gentlemen. :(

Attention, this is MPTV with the latest news updates!

X-COM forces have successfully cleared the Babylon Apartments earlier today, after an immediate and thorough investigation. With the city now a battlefield between alien forces, X-COM and various other factions within the city, the various megacorporations have expressed concerns regarding their businesses' safety within the city. The Director of Operations at X-COM's MegaPrimus Division has already recommended citizens to keep their eyes open for "unusual behaviours" as the aliens seem to have reported "brain sucked" two X-COM operatives during the investigation.

In other news, a UFO was recovered after a brief battle between X-COM and alien forces just several minutes ago by a passing Valkyrie interceptor. With X-COM being intent on determining the purpose and origin behind the aliens, much like the First and Second Alien Wars of the past, the organisation now appears to be in a race against time to save humanity. Stay tuned for further updates!

Well, first engagements in the city and there are already reports of alien activity. Great....... Oh well. Hopefully, we can stop them.

Attention, this is MPTV with the latest news updates!

X-COM forces have reportedly raided the Temple of Apocalypse again, with relatively light losses on X-COM's side, and only one confirmed Cultist having reportedly survived. He told MPTV reporters that "it was a complete massacre" with the organisation's agents having reportedly killed most of his friends and associates at the time of the raid.

A few hours later, X-COM reportedly began investigations on both Sanctuary Clinic and Megapol, suspecting of having alien infiltrators embedded within both entities. The organisation's suspicions were confirmed when Enforcer Academy was investigated and several alien lifeforms were spotted inside the building. In the meantime, Megapol has closed the Academy until next week.

However, despite X-COM's recent successes against alien and cultist forces, alongside their cooperation with Megapol, Sanctuary Clinic and Lifetree have both expressed concerns regarding what has been deemed as "unwarranted investigations" into the former's activities in the aftermath of the investigation at the Phoenix Sanatorium yesterday. Despite these concerns, it does express that X-COM's investigations into the organisation may be "a necessary evil for our MegaPrimus operations".

In other news, a joint X-COM-Megapol operation against a raid by the Diablo gang has been successful in defending Law Control Station from the criminal network. However, Megapol chief François Le Ron has told MPTV reporters that the area around the station had reportedly taken "mild damage", and expressed gratitude to X-COM's support in their law enforcement efforts and has even been key in providing intelligence to X-COM agents in the fight against the aliens. Stay tuned for further updates!

So, new plan. At the end of each day in-game, I could always just have news reports by MPTV on the events that transpired throughout the day. Anyway, I hope this format is more consistent, considering my initial posts were not exactly consistent anyhow. :(

Attention, this is MPTV with the latest news updates!

X-COM forces had once again raided the Temple of the Apocalyspe, according to eyewitnesses earlier today, as the defenders were massacred in what was (mostly) a one-sided battle between Cultist forces and X-COM agents. The Cult of Sirius' High Priest for the MegaPrimus chapter of the Cult has called X-COM's recent raids as "a deliberate act to destroy not only our alien friends, but their followers as well", claiming that X-COM is "the real enemy of humanity" and not the aliens. With this Cultist vs X-COM conflict spanning the whole city, local authorities are already considering the designation of the Cult of Sirius as a terrorist group.

In other news, Megapol has launched a retaliatory attack against Diablo after yesterday's attempt at the Law Control Station by the criminal organisation. With Chief Le Ron proclaiming that "Megapol will fight criminals wherever they are in our city", Megapol's efforts seemed to have intensified against the gangs, while X-COM has turned to combating the Cult of Sirius and the aliens. Stay tuned for further updates!

________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Well, at least I can just do these reports at the end of each day in the game. Hopefully, this will be a successful war for X-COM like the previous two conflicts. :P

Attention, this is MPTV with the latest news updates!

After a series of coordinated attacks against the Cult of Sirius by X-COM agents, the High Priest has vowed that X-COM will not only be destroyed in retribution, but made to suffer for these repeated "desecrations of our sacred temples". How this is to be seen has yet to be determined by Megapol authorities.

Hours later, another incursion emerged from the Dimensional Gates as X-COM forces and Megapol officers engaged in brutal fighting against the alien UFOs. Shortly after the incursion, X-COM had responded to what has been reported as an alien infiltration attempt. Megapol officials and the Director of X-COM Operations at MegaPolis have all handed out warnings to avoid the area due to the possibility of a "Multiworm Infestation" that, although X-COM had cleared before, the possibility of such an infestation still being loose in the area remains to be seen.

Lifetree employees earlier today have reportedly been evacuated from the Borsche Institute following reports of alien activity in the building. With some civilians injured and a few already dead, the building has been placed on lockdown until the damages are repaired. Lifetree executives have refused to comment on the situation so far.

In other news, earlier today, local police and Diablo gangsters engaged in brutal vehicle combat near the Campesino Apartments in an attempt to crack down on crime in the area. Megapol officials described the operation as successful, having "prevented further crimes by Diablo for the time being". Stay tuned for further updates!

Attention, this is MPTV with the latest news updates!

X-COM forces earlier today managed to prevent the aliens from taking control of the Extropian Party's offices in what appears to be a coordinated alien effort at taking control of many aspects of MegaPrimus' society, including society, the city's economy and government. Chairman Thomas Locke has thanked X-COM for their efforts to "protect our city's leaders and ensure the safety of our citizens".

Just hours later, X-COM had reportedly been able to root out a similar infiltration attempt at Synthemesh's Edifice Tower, which has officially been locked down by Megapol and closed until the damages are repaired in the building. Synthemesh has yet to comment on the situation, but it is expected that this and the infiltration attempt of the Extropians will not be the last such attempts the aliens will make.

In other news, Judgement Center was attacked by Diablo gangsters earlier today and were successfully driven out by Megapol officers on the scene before they had a chance to escape. Chief Le Ron praised the efforts of "our city's brave police officers in ensuring that crime remains in check" and proclaimed that Megapol "will not take this attack lightly". Stay tuned for further updates!

Well, speaking of Diablo. I am going to have to root out the aliens infiltrating that criminal organisation just to make Megapol's job easier. :P

Attention, this is MPTV with the latest news updates!

X-COM forces seem to have resumed their attacks against the Cult of Sirius after a lull in anti-Cultist operations yesterday as reports of fighting inside the Temple of the Apocalypse, and the Temple of the Millennium seem to have emerged in the early morning hours. Later today, the High Priest vowed to "continue the fight for our prosperous future and those of our alien friends".

Just hours beforehand, X-COM forces were reportedly on the scene at Scrooge Mansions in an attempt to clear out a minor alien infestation of that area of MegaPrimus. Diablo gangsters managed to kill any remaining aliens with very little, if any losses. A spokesperson for the leader of the gang known only as "Lucifer" expressed that "few outsiders have ever gained the trust of Diablo, and X-COM seems to have started becoming one of those outsider groups that we could do business with". Despite this, the Director of MegaPrimus Operations at X-COM has refused to comment.

Just minutes ago, X-COM had prevented the aliens from shutting down MegaPrimus' power grid at the Energen Building, with the company having temporarily closed off sections of the plant until the damages can be repaired. However, non-essential workers have been recommended to remain in their homes until the damages at the plant are repaired and as a precaution to avoid accidentally luring alien infiltrators.

In other news, fighting between Diablo gangs and Megapol officers continues to erupt in Diablo territory as the body count between the two organisations continues to rise and Megapol finds itself stretched thin fighting both the gangs and the aliens at this time. Megapol has recommended citizens to avoid both the Campesino Apartments and Scrooge Mansions as a means to ensure the safety of MegaPrimus' citizens. Stay tuned for further updates!

I have no idea which is worse now: gang violence, Cultists or aliens. *facepalms*

Attention, this is MPTV with the latest news updates!

X-COM forces continue to attack temples belonging to the Cult of Sirius as the resumed fighting between the two organisations enters its second day. With the alien threat having been quiet today, X-COM forces have decided to focus on the Cult until the aliens make their next move. The High Priest of the MegaPrimus chapter has reportedly been unable to speak to GNN reporters due to a meeting with the Sirius Council in Seattle tomorrow morning scheduled, likely due to X-COM's aggressive anti-Cultist campaign in the city.

In other news, Diablo and Megapol engagements seem to have been at a lull in recent days, as neither side can achieve an advantage over the other. With Megapol's crackdown on the Psiclone market seemingly having been admitted to have yielded "mixed results" according to Chief Le Ron, the conflict between the two seems to have become a sort of stalemate. Stay tuned for further updates!

Attention, this is MPTV with the latest news updates!

X-COM forces raided the Cultists once again earlier today in the middle of the Sirius Council's conference in Seattle, with the other chapters of the Cult expressing dissatisfaction with performance against X-COM forces in MegaPrimus. Grand Priest Volker Hans has already told GNN reporters that "High Priest Holland is no longer going to be a concern", though what he meant by this comment is still being debated.

Hours later, heavy fighting was reported by eyewitnesses near the government's Warehouse Nine and the Civic Project that was abandoned two years ago. Alien UFOs were then cleared out one by one with X-COM reported to have taken heavy losses according to both eyewitnesses and X-COM's Director of MegaPrimus Operations.

As a result of what was suspected to be a series of landings by alien forces, X-COM has cleared out the abandoned Civic Project as Megapol has locked down the area to all citizens, despite the area being in gang territory. Reports of fighting between Osiron gangsters and MegaPol officers have already emerged from the area while X-COM was busy clearing MarsSec's Warehouse Two from alien infiltrators after MarsSec mercenaries guarding the place were reportedly killed by alien forces before X-COM arrived.

After this, X-COM's remaining agents investigated all government-owned buildings in the city, resulting in a firefight against a small Hyperworm infestation of the Babylon Apartments. However, some officials expressed criticism due to X-COM's attempt to investigate the Senate itself in a recent patrol. However, after the apartments were cleared, they have since retracted their concerns.

In other news, X-COM has begun to suffer a shortage of agents due to recent losses in the field against the aliens. However, there appear to be efforts to replace lost agents as the MegaPrimus War continues to ravage the city. Stay tuned for further updates!

Well, agent shortage = Oh oh.........I am getting stretched to the limit. :(

Attention, this is MPTV with the latest news updates!

Transtellar Spacelines has just closed earlier today following an investigation by X-COM agents and subsequent reports of brutal room to room fighting. X-COM casualties were reported to be light, according to eyewitnesses. Transtellar's CEO Ibrahim Al-Salim thanked X-COM's intervention into the area, effectively keeping the aliens at MegaPrimus and away from the rest of Earth or the colonies.

In other news, X-COM forces once again raided the Temple of the Apocalypse and during an inspection by a subordinate to the Sirius Council, said inspector was killed in the middle of the raid. Following this attack, the Cult of Sirius has started to take a more militant stance across the globe. Analysts are beginning to fear that the Cult of Sirius could turn to terrorism as a means to spread the war outside of MegaPrimus. Stay tuned for further updates!

Attention, this is MPTV with the latest news updates!

X-COM forces have been reportedly investigating signs of alien activity resuming in Civic Project, while eyewitnesses reported severe fires raging throughout the abandoned complex. Firefighters are already on the scene attempting to put the fires out and prevent the city from being set ablaze at this time.

This was all following a series of alien attacks by UFOs appearing over the city as an unidentified UFO was shot down, while the alien probes managed to escape. However, X-COM was able to secure the crashed craft, and subsequently investigate Chronos Block, Civic Project, where the fires still rage, and Warehouse One.

Later today, while fires were still being put out at the Civic Project, an alien incident was reported at the Gygax Memorial Building, in which X-COM forces had cleared out the place, and evacuation of the building was conducted after fires broke out all over the place. Like in Civic Project, firefighters are still struggling to contain the flames. Solmine has already reported a loss in revenue as a result of the Gygax fire, and have have to pull its headquarters elsewhere as MegaPolis is beginning to devolve into a war zone.

In other news, construction crews are still clearing up the rubble from an X-COM investigation on Eden Mansions in the early morning hours today, with a structural chunk of one of the mansions being reportedly demolished by weapons fire as a consequence of collateral damage. All entries to non-essential personnel into the area have already been denied as the entire area is now on lockdown. Stay tuned for further updates!

________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Well, this is bad. I may have accidentally used incendiaries to clear out the aliens in two buildings and during the fighting, they literally went up in flames. :/ Sorry. My mistake.

Attention, this is MPTV with the latest news updates!

Earlier today, X-COM forces were able to clear out Babylon Apartments again after an investigation into the building for alien activity. The government thanked the "brave efforts of X-COM's forces in defending MegaPrimus from alien attacks, and perhaps, once again, save Earth". The Senate has already passed a measure to increase surveillance efforts against alien forces and is expected to come into effect later next week.

In other news, the fires from yesterday's engagements with alien forces seem to have significantly calmed at this point, with the last of the fires still being put out. However, all civilians were evacuated from those areas to ensure their safety and those of other citizens. Stay tuned for further updates!

Attention, this is MPTV with the latest news updates!

Alien UFOs were intercepted by X-COM forces near the Senate earlier today as the organisation continues its defence of MegaPrimus. However, while the aliens' original target seemed to have indicated being the Senate, the nearby Karpov Building after the brief battle was reported to have been crawling with alien forces. X-COM dispatched its agents as quickly as it could and began to clear out the building and evacuate all remaining civilians. A spokesperson for Cyberweb's CEO thanked X-COM's efforts for protecting its assets from alien infiltrators and called to the other companies to "step up their support for X-COM".

In other news, the Cult of Sirius' MegaPrimus chapter has started to report financial issues due to X-COM's prior raids and repeated loss of members to X-COM attacks. As a result, an emergency session of the Sirius Council has been called on Seattle to settle the issue of what appears to be a power struggle within the Cult's MegaPrimus Chapter. Stay tuned for further updates!

Attention, this is MPTV with the latest news updates!

Cultist forces and X-COM agents exchanged weapons fire at the Temple of the Apocalypse once again, as X-COM resumed its crackdown on the Cult of Sirius in the city. X-COM's Director of Operations in MegaPrimus has already told reporters that "MegaPrimus is no place for terrorists", likely referring to the Cult of Sirius and it's pro-alien agenda.

In other news, High Priest Holland's body was found in an alleyway earlier today, just shortly after the raid on the Temple of the Apocalypse by X-COM agents. Megapol authorities suspect that the Sirius Council dispatched agents to assassinate him for incompetence, though the results of the investigation and autopsy report are still yet to be seen. Stay tuned for further updates!

________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

This should be fun. I am going to check if the aliens have infiltrated anyone else yet since my last alien-clearing operation. :/
