Is there a variable like bulletSpeed: and explosionSpeed: that controls the speed that the large blastRadius: explosion image plays at?

Also is there a way to turn off the explosion image so that it doesn't play at all?

Im wondering this too but im guessing the answer is no. You could make a custom blank explosion set and define that for the item, so that its still displaying an explosion but its completely transparent so nothing shows up.

Personally ive been wanting the capability to force the Original Drawing Routine (which was sorta diamond shaped) because that was more regular and filled compared to openxcom which can sorta spawn explosion sprites a fair distance away from the impact and make it seem kinda irregular.

Ive also been wanting the capability to scale the effective explosion power for the purposes of whats displayed (which could easily be inserted under damageAlter). That way the explosion can do alot of damage but it doesnt look like it did alot... mainly for high damage blasts that are incredibly focused (might give it a nastier looking explosion sprite, but it should still be confined). If it only has a blast radius of 2-3 tiles I Do Not want it spreading explosion sprites all over the damn place.
