I cant get Falko's HWP builder to work

I cant get Falko's HWP builder to work, im just trying to make a cool tank. is that so much to ask

The universe could perhaps help if you were a bit more specific - I have used this tool many times with no trouble, so I have no idea what problem you might have. But as it is, we can only weep...

it keeps giving me an error after I edit the template when I try to split it .I cant seem to get it to work

That's a bit more specific, but still not that helpful.  What is the error you're getting?  It would be most helpful if you gave us the steps you went through to get the error, and the template file you're trying to split.

The issue might be with the drawing routine you picked - does it match the type of unit you're trying to draw?

ok.
I downloaded the template, edited it with MSpaint
Then when I tried to split it, it just says the word "Error" and a flame symbol
also here is the template I edited.
( I just want the tank to have an antenna, is that so much to ask )

If you were using Paint, the image isn't paletted at all, not to even mention if the palette is correct. I imagine the tool would choke on this.
Besides, even if Falko's tool managed to cut it, the spritesheet would be useless.

Start with using a real graphics editor. There are many options, the forum is full of references.
