[SOLVED]A little question running the mod

Why to run xpiratez the mod has to be picked up from taht dropdown menu, not like any other mod? It is cbacause uses a custom .exe?

It is because it is classified as a "Master" mod.

It has nothing to do with the custom exe; the 'master' mod determines which of the original game resources are loaded, which folder in the 'user' directory is chosen for saved games, and which 'slave' mods can be loaded at the same time.
