What is the GOD DAMNED TITLE!?
« on: February 25, 2017, 06:11:20 am »
I'm searching for the title of a story which centres around a post-apocalyptic setting in which a single house and square of lawn has survived the end. Its owners carry on as though nothing has happened outside their home and when other survivors arrive and begin asking questions, things get weird.

How come there are others if only one house survived?

Almost every post-apocalypse story has a small group of people who survive the nukes. They could've survived either in bomb shelters or somehow found good enough cover for themselves to not get toasted by the nuke going off.  But, a story where everything else is in ruins while this one house and its occupants are somehow unaffected by the fallout and act like nothing happened? Now that is just mind boggling.

The episode of TNG is called "The Survivors" but I don't know the post-apocalyptic setting mentioned by chaosshade, though I'm curoius, even checked "ask jeeves.com" without success.
