I'd like to try my hand at paper crafting hence the question.  ;D

There is a 3D environment in X-Com, built with voxels. Objects have their 3D architecture too. But I don't understand what you mean by "export" - converting to some other file type?
If paper crafting is all you want to do, it's probably best to just view them in MCDEdit and copy the structure by hand.
