Anacronistic Xcom

Would there be any demand for a mod that adds sprites based off of EU2012 and Xcom2 to the original Xcom?

Do you possess such sprites?

I might consider making them. I have minor pixel art experience and a copy of Aesprite. Don't know much about how Xcom sprites work, but I figure the information is available on this forum.

More sprites is always good. But at this point it's hard to say what would be most useful, or if it would fit the game graphic style.

If you make something and it's reasonably good, I'm sure modders will be happy to use it somehow.

Well, amongst several ideas I've been considering for my next mod while I'm finishing my Area 51 expansion, one of the most 'achievable' ideas would be an XCOM 2 total conversion to OpenXCom (the others would either a  Terminator post Judgement Day or a Zombie apocalypse scenarios).

I love both XCOM: EU and XCOM 2 and even added Thin Men to my Area 51 mod and I'd like to try adapting XCOM 2 to the old games. There would be a lot of changes though: the Avatar Project, Avenger flying base, concealment, Proving Grounds, GTS, etc., wouldn't be possible to implement.

The real question is style. I'm a picky person aesthetics wise, and when playing any incarnation of Xcom I'm always wishing I could clean it up. UFO's sprites are always too wide and messy in my opinion so. I'm not sure If my changes would improve them or just make them class.

At any rate, EU2012's weapons could easily fit in.
